Ebay Switching from PayPal to Direct Payments using Bank Accounts?? RIDICULOUS!!!!

OK, Is this for real? Ebay seems to be ditching Paypal for sellers and wanting to use my Bank Account to manage payments. Ebay wants my Bank Account information???  Forget IT Ebay!!! I am NOT (repeat NOT) giving you my Bank account info to manage my payments!!   I have been perfectly happy with payments being made thru Paypal over the years and if ebay cannot continue this then I will move to another platform.

Please respond if you are in agreement!

Bye. Under this system, I'm better off signing up for the big A, where the real masses look. eBay has driven off so many sellers and buyers over the years, they've developed a whole segment of society that totally DESPISES eBay, and would never buy or sell here.

Hope you like their managed payments system, which you will find no more and no less transparent than eBay's.

And remember that you'll need to provide to them, for their payment processing system:  Bank account number and bank routing number, a chargeable credit card (not prepaid), Social Security Number, tax information, telephone number.

My problem isn't so much with managed payments, my problem is more with managed RETURNS.

I've always known my items would do better there, but didn't like their payment system. Now that eBay has basically the same system, it's kind of a no brainer.

What it boils down to for me is that eBay has developed a reputation of being secretive and deceptive. They've lost the TRUST of millions of people over the past 10-12 years, and they do NOTHING to try to correct that. In fact, they continue on their same course. Iceberg? What iceberg?

Well you will be in a shock over at AMZ if you think eBay's return systems are harsh.

My point is that if I'm going to live under the big A's policies (which is basically managed payments), I want to do it with their TRAFFIC.

Re: Ebay Switching from PayPal to Direct Payments using Bank Accounts?? RIDICULOUS!!!!

I've been a loyal eBay seller and buyer for more than 20 years. I've tried to support eBay sellers when I buy, and I've made some good money here as a seller. Lately, I've been looking more elsewhere when I need to buy something. In fact, several times lately, I don't find what I'm looking for on eBay. Do you know why that is? It's because the sellers of those products have LEFT because of eBay's "nothing but a platform" taking total control. eBay's days are numbered... EVERYONE better think about making alternate plans.

I'm done selling as of April 30th. Time to retire after 22 years (since  1999). As Master Po said to Grasshopper, it is time for you to leave the Temple. LOL!

Bank account info is a small factor, but for me personally everything S, U, C, K...S about MANGLED Payments. The lag and drag time in deposits, plus I can't make a deposit of the dollar amount of my choosing, as I did in PP.  With PP, money is instant and available, so I send the item(s) out the next day, or often, the same day.  NOT going to send anything out before money is in my bank safe and sound.  I do it as a hobby now anyways, and a small time seller at that.  It's like you have a yard sale and the person takes an item and say I'll pay you next week..... yeah riiiiight.‌🤔

All the BEST everyone, it's been REAL, and a PLEASURE!!! ZZZZ_54.jpg

Yeah, well... I have several items I need to edit, that I've discovered item specifics on, but eBay hasn't allowed me to do that since October. Plus hundreds of items that I've not been allowed to list. Going back to my previous post, THAT'S why you often cant find what you're looking for on eBay anymore. My items will be gone soon enough, but only from here.
