Is there any pattern behind eBay order numbers ?
An ebay order number follows the format of AA-BBBBB-CCCCC
For example the order number - 14-11960-23534 - can be read as happening on - 19th august 2024
And 19-11962-76407 can be read as happening on - 21st august 2024
As the BBBBB block of text seems to relate to a date.
But i cant work out what the AA or CCCCC mean
The AA seems to change at random, even two orders placed for the same item, with the same supplier very close to each other have a different AA sometimes.
The CCCCC tends to be vaugly (but not always) sequentally increasing through out the day eg. an order placed in the morning has a lower CCCCC than an order placed in the evening.
But other than that ive been unable to figure it out.
Any ideas ?

If you feel it necessary, click the little arrow in the top right of the original post, click "Report Inappropriate Content" (even though it's not inappropriate, that's the link to contact the mods), then just type in the reason you want to close the thread. They generally respect a request from the thread starter to close it, if you choose to do that.

Contact the mods. On the upper right hand side of your post you'll see an arrow that points down. Click on it and on the bottom it reads report inappropriate content (not that your question was inappropriate) and just ask the moderator to close your thread. You should be good to go.
Again, good luck with getting the help and advice you are needing!
