Ebay Is Dead for me . My sales have never been this bad.

So far 2024 has turned out to be one of the worse years since 2000 for me. Sales have been 0 in over a week. I think it's time to move somewhere else.

These knuckleheads aren't addressing the needs of the marketplace, instead focusing on more money for themselves which often means screwing the sellers.  I'm in SJ and know they've got a lot of alleged Stanford types, but they clearly don't get it.  This economy could have been a way for ebay to shine, by stealing disgruntled, strapped shoppers away from retail.  Local prices are outrageous and in '20 people got used to shopping online and waiting to receive in a couple days.  Ebay fools read that as 'they really like us, let's charge more.'  I find it very odd that 99c Store, Big Lots, Bed Bath and Beyond, ebay...are all going bankrupt, but were the only opportunities for shoppers to stretch a buck.  It's a very odd economy, and ebay is even more odd.   Some other venues are catching wind of this and aggressively marketing to buyers and sellers, keep your eyes open, they are out there.

Im having a hard time too Things that used to sell weekly take months.Many factors but never had it so bad here.I know that most of my sales are are the farthest away from me West coast states midwest too not sure if its deliberately being done but I have the most sales in my life to UTAH???

100% same boat. Ebay is giving visibility to new, inexperienced sellers who dont have an established account and hasnt had to work to achieve top rated seller status. They do not value the sellers who have been on the platform longer. I have 9000 items listed and my sales literally over night have stopped. when I called to report a technical issue, im being told that there are tons of calls coming in about the same issue. literally over night sales of stopped. instead of ebay admitting there is an issue on their part or they have changed things like not automatically refreshing your items anymore (you have to do it manually) they just non chalantly tell you that there are no issues with the platform.

You're right! The inflation is causing problems for sellers. When you hear about stores closing, fast food lowering high prices to $5.00, and mobile homes selling for $80k+ (single wide) there's something up.

I have a Mercari account and I'm not doing well there also. My wife closed her Etsy account after two years of selling because it's no longer profitable. Ugh. 

Biden economics is to blame for inflation or is world wide? I'm just going to have to wait I guess.

Same for me, and on here for 20 plus years.  Today I went to share some listings with Facebook,to stimulate business, and both came back with 'sorry, we cannot find the page". So far on two listings, and sure there might be more. That means even though they are listed in my store, and don't show ended or deleted, if a buyer shows interest

to read the description or shipping or any details, he/she will get a page like one above, so they will not buy if it looks like listing can't be found. WHAT IS GOING ON HERE? cHECK your listings, please, to see if that is happening to you. Any feedback here would be appreciated. Thanks.

I had a number of the old Beehive hockey photos.  Some were sitting on eBay for months; maybe over a year.  Nothing.  I sent them to an online auction & all of them sold.  After their 30% take, I ended up with $700.  Yes - people will buy your stuff elsewhere.  🙂  3 sales on FBM today & 2 on the weekend.  🙂

ebay treats the seller like crap.   ebay would be noting with out the sellers.

 Don’t t bother putting the effort in to go somewhere else. it’s the same everywhere. I’m hoping it gets better after this contentious election year
