I Received this absurd e-mail from Ebay this morning. They suggest I lower my prices, look at the competition etc. Hey Ebay fix the Glitches! That is why my items are not being seen or sold. I can not believe they have the time to send these ridiculous e-mails out when the state of the platform is out of control!

Ebay constantly ask us to lower prices, they are not bothered what your goods are really worth just being able to charge you % commision and make millions. Shame us ebay sellers are set to make pennies

Funny that, last week we had a buyer contact us as when he clicked "Buy Now" he was directed to another listing for a similar item. eBay seem way too focused on adding tools they can charge sellers higher rates for while everything else just gathers dust.

P.S received a sellers feed back from them, went straight in the trash as we will be shutting the shop here in the new year.

My delete key comes in handy when I get these useless messages. My prices and my prices and that the way I like it. I also don't compete with sellers who do cheap **bleep** from china. So I am not sure who they think my competition is. They should stop wasting our money (fees) and reduce our costs and so on; and also they should stop screwing with the webpages, the old ones were fine and not broken so they did not have to "fix" them.

Haven't had this message... yet... looking forward to that 🙂 I contacted ebay a few days ago to ask if someone could look at my account (really wondered if it was broken/blocked/hacked) no sales for days. Nothing wrong with the account apparently but I was lucky enough to have what sounded like a 16 year old ebay telesales rep give me the benefit of her undoubtedly massive experience in retailing sterling silver. Having only been in the industry for 27 years - I was obviously thrilled... The advice consisted mostly of discounting, discounting and more discounting. Because (and I hadn't realized this) everyone likes a bargain !!! Unfortunately - I also like to eat, pay bills and what with Winter coming would like to be able to put the heating on from time to time. Wake up ebay - we are your customers. Grow a backbone, admit you've messed up and sort it out. This is YOUR feedback - not looking too good is it?

I noticed for a couple of days ebay stated they were having technical difficulties in seller hub. They need to go back to the difficulties because in the mean time my sales went way up. When they got there difficulties repaired my sales way back down. Any one have an answer on this one?

Interesting as I had 4 days of $200.00 per day sales. then nothing for 1 day and 1 - 9.99 sale so far today. After 13+ years of having good strong sales ebay starts messing with things that are not broken and things nose dive.

I got one too. They want us to compete with little old ladies selling their costume jewelry for .99. Its taking forever to list one item. You have to to terepeak to research previous sales than add all kinds if item specifics and they want you to pay to promote your listings when that was their job to begin with. I am going to get my own website. My ebay fees are like $800 a month. Its getting to be a bit much and they are managing my money poorly nickel and dimeing me to death. Do not sign up for managed payments.

Sales have been very poor for a few months ,but strange when it comes to the date for the cutoff for your bills the traffic goes up.We as sellers need sales and my prices are fairly cheap with 10% off everything and it is promoted .Could it be E-bay are always changing things.

Have listed for sale a 3 x 5 foot Baltimore Ravens flag, priced at $12.50 shipping included. They compare my listing to the following like items (same team, same size, etc.)

Sold in past 90 days $15.47-$16.53 shipping included

Currently active $15.47-$19.99 shipping included

Now, I don't have a PhD but I fail to see how lowering my price is going to bring a sale. MAYBE if my item was shown consistently it would have already sold.
