EBAY GREED

WHY AM I BEING PUNISHED WHEN I DONT SELL WHAT EBAY THINK I SHOULD BE SELLING. I HAVE BEEN SUSPENDED FOR NO SELL ENOUGH ITEMS, BY REDUCING THE AMOUNT OF ITEMS I CAN SELL A MONTH. THEN THEY GO FUTHER BY SAYING THEY CAN SUSPEND MY ACCOUNT EVEN MORE. THIS LEAVE ME BETWEEN A ROCK & A HARD PLACE. I AM BEING FORCED TO SELL MY ITEMS BELOW RETAIL PRICE. I PAY A LOT OF MONEY FOR THE GOLD & SILVER COINS THAT I SELL. I AM NOT A THRIFT SHOP. I HAVE BEEN BUYING & SELLING COINS FOR 60 YEARS. THEY HAVE NO IDEA OF WHAT THE VALUE OF THE ITEMS I SELL & DONT CARE AS LONG AS THEY MAKE MONEY. THEY DID NOT TAKE IN THE FACTORS OF THE PANDEMIC, INFLATION & THE BUYERS MARKET. WHEN I PURCHASE SOMETHING ON EBAY I PAY GOING RATE, I DO NOT GET A DISCOUNT. I DO NOT MIND TO LIST MY ITEMS BUT IT IS ABSURD TO BE SUSPENDED FOR NOT SELLING ENOUGH. IT JUST DOES NOT MAKE SENSE. I HAVE BEEN AN EBAY BUYER & SELLER FOR MORE THAN 15 YEARS. IS THIS HOW YOU TREAT A LOYAL PARTNER. MTOS1295

@mtos1295

In my 24 years on eBay I have never head of any seller being restricted or suspended because they "don't sell enough".

I'm sure there is much more to your story so why not post the realities instead of just a bunch of meaningless screaming.

Re: EBAY GREED

This platform does not suspend anyone for "not selling enough". There is a quota of 100 transactions within one year to retain the TRS status but that will not lead to an actual suspension....

Re: EBAY GREED

ITS AN ISSUE OF BEING A POWER SELLER, NOT SOME ONE WHO SELLS 100 ITEMS A YEAR.

Once again, eBay does not suspend any sellers for not having enough transactions. Period. End of.

It gives people a head when you write all caps.

Re: EBAY GREED

There must be more to this story.  How about returning, taking off the caps lock, and giving us all the details?

As far as I know, eBay does not suspend any seller for "not selling enough".  There are probably sellers here who have sold one or two items in a ten year period and they're not suspended.

Is "Power seller"   still a thing?

No, it was done away with years ago.

Re: EBAY GREED

Don't know.  Almost never sell any more and definitely have never been in the power seller neighborhood.

Re: EBAY GREED

What does not being TRS have to do with greed?

It could be that you went below standard for a reason..

a. You cancelled for out of stock

b. you had too many late shipments

c. Cases closed without seller resolution

When you go below standard your FVF fees are increased and they limit the amount you can sell.

You can read the entire policy here>>Seller levels and performance standards | eBay

Re: EBAY GREED

I AM BEING FORCED TO SELL MY ITEMS BELOW RETAIL PRICE.”

In what way are you being forced to sell below retail? On eBay, it is the seller who decides the price of his own goods.

I believe you may be mistaken about the reason for your trouble with eBay, because right now you have 22 live listings up and available for sale. That wouldn't be the case if you were truly suspended.

What policy did eBay say you violated that caused the penalty? With a bit more detail about what’s happening to you, someone here might be able to help  navigate the problem/issue.
