I remember just a couple years ago, there was a massive class action lawsuit against EBAY for this exact same thing. And it cost them like $100 million Dollars. You'd think they would stop doing this stuff, but I guess they make too much money stealing from their sellers to make it worth stopping.
EveryTime I get a Free Listings Promotion, I can list one maybe 2 listings out of the 500 offered, before Ebay starts charging me $0.30 Each.
It's very sneaky, because they always give you the first one or 2 free, then you go to list more, and you have to be very careful to check the fees at the bottom of the listing page, because they start charging you $0.30 for each free listing after the first couple listings.
Also, if your using the Promotions inside of a sellers account without a store, then all of your 50 free listings that you get with your account, start charging you $0.30 when they renew, because suddenly you are over the 50 listing limit allowed in your account.
So they charge you for those also.
So not only are you charged for the promotional free listings, you are also charged for the standard free listings that you're already supposed to get with your standard sellers account.
It happens every time I try to use the Free Promotional listings. They lie and rip me off for a lot of money.
Does anyone else have this problem?
It really upsets me when the fixed price, good till canceled, listings start charging $0.30 when they roll over, because suddenly you're over the 50 listing limit, even though they should be free.
Why does EBAY have to always lie all the time.
They have all the power. they are a billion dollar company, what do they get out of cheating everyone and lying all the time?

They don't lie..........it always a case of sellers not reading/understanding the promos........at least with the free listings
for instance:
Also, if your using the Promotions inside of a sellers account without a store, then all of your 50 free listings that you get with your account, start charging you $0.30 when they renew, because suddenly you are over the 50 listing limit allowed in your account.
yep, if they renew.......you are charged......it says that in every promotion. If you chose to use GTC, the listing is only free the first time you list.....after that the renews are charged against your 50 free or charged at the 30c if you've used your freebies......There has NEVER been a free promo with GTC listings free forever..........

Ugh, I missed that one was a duplicate...

It doesn't tell you in the promo that those listings will continue to be free. It's a promotion for things LISTED IN THAT TIME FRAME. Therefore, if the promo is good for 6/27-7/1, why would you think it would be free when you list on 8/01, 9/01, and 10/01? Ebay isn't full of shysters, you're just ignoring the not-so-fine print, and crying fowl when everything works according to the rules.

That hasn't ever happened to me and I don't have a store. I have had fees applied after they offer "free large photo or something similar that I accept" if i realist it it is still there so I have been charged a couple times because I didn't catch it. I learned my lesson. Always look at cost before hitting list item. Lol
