Duplicate listings for items that have been relisted

Hello, when I select Sell - Listings - Unsold & not Relisted then Search, there are items that are listed multiple times that have already been past.  I found an item listed  3 times that have already been relisted and time period is over....  Why doesn't items get cleared out of the listings after they are relisted?

If I'm understanding your question, it sounds like you're choosing to sell similar in order to relist rather than choosing to actually relist.

If you "relist," the item is removed from your unsold. But if you choose "sell similar" and relist the same item, you have to go back and delete that item from the unsold. Ebay doesn't know whether the item you listed as "similar" is the same item or just a similar one so it doesn't get removed.
