eBay does not "carry" anything; they are a venue for people who carry things. And there are only six Dr. Seuss titles that eBay has flagged, and these are the same six titles that the estate of Dr. Seuss himself has decided to stop publishing. 

I will not support this decision.

Personally, I support the Constitution that gives eBay the freedom to decide what other people can and cannot do on eBay's property.

I won't be canceling my account of over twenty years, but ebay will have the lowest priority for any acquisition unless they rescind this policy and admit their mistake.

It's a shame. I either direct or spend  directly about ten thousand dollars a year or more on Ebay purchases. Ironically most of it is spent on supporting industrial equipment  that has been canceled.

Did you bother to read the piece by Cathy Young?

If you did why would you support a hit job on a man who has given so much to children the world?

Katie Ishizuka is a demagogue. She is a proven liar and fraud. Why would you take her word for anything?

I do not view those images as racist. They have no power to be hurtful to a child. Quite the contrary, his work and illustrations have sparked the imaginations of hundreds of millions, perhaps billions of children and inspired a love of the written word. 

I think the management team at Ebay is not mentally subnormal. They may be lazy. They may be trying to avoid a controversy. Or they may actively subscribe to the tenants of this illiberal orthodoxy and believe the ends justify the means.

I saw those images, and consider them racist and hurtful to a child.And evidently, so does the Seuss estate, thats good enough for me.As a pediatric nurse, Im all for protecting the child,and dont consider removing those six books from publication as a 'hit job'.

This is absolute nonsense. There is so much offensive material on ebay that it's laughable they would diligently seek out these Dr. Seuss books and remove the listings.
