Re: Downsizing???

Hey, I'm just wondering if you did it yet and how bad the charges were for downgrading. Do they charge the difference between the cost of the two stores or a percent and does it take effect right away or is there a delay?

Earlier in the thread, the OP mentioned that they were in the final month of their annual subscription, so there will be no early termination penalty.  When a store subscription is canceled or downgraded, the change takes effect on the first day of the next calendar month, so the change to Basic will happen on November 1, with no penalty fees.

You can see details about store policies in the store user agreement, including a chart which shows the exact early termination fees, based on the level of the subscription and the number of months left in the annual agreement.

You are correct.  You will not see any changes except in the amount of money you are charged for your store.

Re: Downsizing???

With 1700 items for sale. It should be 30 sales or more per month.  Is it really just 30 sales in 3 months?

Re: Downsizing???

I know you may not want to hear about lowering prices, but being competitive in the market is key.  1991 Topps Stadium Club Brett Favre rookie card in Near Mint condition for the price you are selling is not going to work in today's market.   You can get a PSA 8 NM-MT for $25.00 and your price for a raw NM is over $40?

Others in the book market have said that prices have come down, but I see you have a hardcover Batman book for $19  + shipping which is not that bad, but seems to be not competitive to other listings.  If you are serious about downsizing or shutting down, how long you want to spend unloading your products?  If you really want to sell or shut down you would start with 15 to 20% off on all the items you want to unload and then work your way through the more desirable items last.

I know it may be a tough pill to swallow, but sometimes you need to stay competitive to do well. You may want to look at Completed Items for some of your items so you can get an idea of the price ranges for the products your selling and make adjustments.
