Don't ever use this awful platform to sell anything again.

I will never buy or sell anything on eBay again. eBay has no bottom line in undermining the interests of sellers. eBay will not achieve greater success! I despise their ruling. Not only did I not get any return from my deal, but I lost $100 for international shipping. This is ridiculous. No matter how malicious and unreasonable the buyer's return request is, eBay supports them. Even if the buyer discriminates against me, eBay still stand on their side. They are accomplices! I will expose eBay's injustice and make more people stop using their garbage platform! I know ebay doesn't care, it doesn't matter, even if one more person knows eBay's badness, I have done a good thing, I wish eBay will close down soon!

@ce.y_2

Shipping a $100 item with $100 international shipping  was very risky business to start with. The shipping cost pointedly makes it not worth the risk.

I have sold almost 7,000 items and would not even consider a sale like that.

Should have sold the shoes locally for cash in hand.

Given the feedback you received for two sales that you cancelled it was kind of surprising that you had further sales after that. If you sell internationally you may have to pay for the return internationally if the buyer is not happy with the product. Perhaps Ebay is not for you.

The negative feedback you've received indicates you don't really understand how selling on eBay works. So I think it's probably for the best that you don't continue to sell here.

I expect you will be closed down long before Ebay will.

It looks like the 2 negative feedbacks are the same person...your reply was nice, I can see why you cancelled  the order if the buyer wasn't responding. Shipping is insanely high, it's a gamble to sell international, especially for a high dollar item...I wouldn't do it..chalk it up to a learning lesson. I personally don't agree with the return policies, and yes more than likely you will not "win" when it comes to returns, for whatever reason. Make sure you inspect the shoes carefully when you get them back and don't give them a refund until you have them. It's frustrating, I hear ya.

Please learn how to sell on eBay.

You are based in New Zealand which puts you at a severe disadvantage compared to the rest of us. The majority of your potential buyers will be in Europe, North America which have obscenely high highway robbery shipping costs from New Zealand. Unless eBay or a third party offers you heavily subsidized shipping services, your items will be extremely uncompetitive compared to North American, European and Australian sellers.

You need to double check your shipping costs. You seem to be using flat rate shipping which is a big no no unless you are crystal clear on how much shipping costs to each country.

For your most recent sale on New Balance shoes your shipping costs $50 domestically in New Zealand, $50 to Australia, $45 USA $50 Europe $50 Africa....  Those shipping rates are highly inaccurate and will cause you to loose money especially if you have a North American or European buyer.

Does eBay even offer heavily subsidized New Zealand Post rates?

There is no eBay New Zealand, so this perk can't be offered.

It is unlikely that Ebay will close down because you have a business plan which loses money, and will always lose money.

The seller cancelled the sales. The seller failed to ship as ebay policy requires. Sellers who disappoint buyers are not welcome on ebay.

From here it looks like you started selling on eBay before you read/understood the rules/polices of eBay selling venue and  know  how to determine your shipping  costs accurately (not an eBay responsibility you select the  carrier(s) and  need to see bone up on their policies. eBay provides a tutorial  to help beginning  sellers (see link below) - but you gotta read/under stand them.  Shipping The are  spelled out in the User Agreement you signed when you became a member. Gotta' learn to swim before you jump into the deep end of the pool.

Better Luck next time.

Despite its thousands of shortcomings and the sheer imbecility of its leadership, I really like eBay.

Everyone is given an opportunity to sell here.

And while eBay most assuredly fails in the transparency category, eBay does make crystal clear that in

Section 4 of its user agreement that, in the final analysis, no seller is 100% safe.

eBay is a sort of "survival of the fittest" microcosm in virtual space.

I enjoy the game, but its definitely not for everyone.
