So I got a warning for one duplicate listing a month or so ago. Last week i got a suspension for about 7 more of them. I only had duplicates of each...not several. Not sure how I did it...don't matter, they were there. My question is: I have a competitor who owns two stores. He floods the search with duplicates. He will have 5-11 of the same thing on EACH store. So he has around 10-22 listings of them same thing to my ONE! And this pattern spans over a dozen of the products him and I sell. I called ebay about my suspension and mentioned this to them. They said they will look into it and advised me to report those listings. Fair is fair. If the policy (as they lectured me about) is to protect other sellers rights and abilities to sell under fair terms, then the same should apply to him. That was only about 10 days ago. Nothing has changed with his listings yet. But will they ever?

Detecting duplicate items from the same seller. - which it appears is what happened to you - is an automated process.
Checking reports from the community about duplicate items that were not picked up by the automated software is a manual process that might never bee addressed, depending upon priorities and manpower.
And even if they are checked manually, there is no guarantee they will be removed - because eBay policy has very specific conditions that determine what a "duplicate" item is, and whether it violates policy or not.
There are situations where two absolutely identical listings by the same seller would not be considered to be against policy.
And lastly ... yes, fair is fair. But unfortunately like many things in life, eBay is not fair.

I use Shipscripts duplicate listing tool and it works very well for me.

Hi, you may not have done anything to cause this. It is a known glitch. Here is a thread from earlier this year you might find interesting, lots of folks having the same issue. Good luck!
