Does eBay still send watchers messages when I mark down items by 5%?

I've got lots of watchers on many of my items, and I'm wondering will eBay send a message to those who are watching my items to let them know that the items price has been reduced?  They used to send sellers messages that said to mark down certain items by 5% or more and they'd send messages to those who were watching to let them know their deal got sweeter?  Do they still do that?

I believe they do. But, what I've found more effective is to send an offer to my watchers as soon as possible when I'm alerted to them. For my thinking, old watchers rarely buy, they just never drop off. They get cold. But, when a new watcher clicks, EBAY lets the seller send an offer. I sell about 50% of my sales by doing that.  Make them an offer while they're hot. Also, you can add to the comments so that it's personal, tell more about item, etc.

I think that they would send it out if it is 5% or more, but not sure if anything below that.   The lowest I've ever personally gotten is a price reduction of $1 from 12.95 to 11.95, so that's 7.7%.

I just called eBay to find out how to set up this notification & the person I got didn't have a clue. He said that the only way I can send an offer to a watcher was if the watcher had sent an offer or asked a question. Your saying you get a notification of a new watcher. I would love some help here! First of all I was one of those forced into managed payments so this may not work there. My listings are most all good till cancelled also. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have never received a notice of a seller marking down an item.

Click on Listings page. There are blue boxes at top. Send offers-eligible. Click it. Since, I watch it often, I know those are newly watched items. All my many watchers have been sent offers by me. I try to do it right away. I get good sales results from doing it.
