Does eBay care about Sellers and Buyers? It doesn't look like so as long they can make money on us.
I have been selling on eBay for a long time - when the support became really bad - I left eBay and sold on
other sites. After 10 years, I gave it another try but find out "it became even worse"
I had 3 issues with buyers
1. sold an item and shipped it, - after it was shipped - buyer requested a to have it sent to a different address not as provided from eBay. I wasn't able to redirect shipment and received a negative feedback
2. a buyer I had on my blocked buyers list, placed an order with his second eBay ID and left me a negative Feedback as a payback
3. a buyer believed he can get a item for free, wrote me "Refund or Negative Feedback"
"" Extortion "" and yes, he left me a negative Feedback
After contacting eBay costumer service, no solution, no help - NO HELP at all!!
So you have to accept all eBay rules in order to be a member, but eBay doesn't fallow his own rules
what a JOKE?
Any other Members having the same blow from eBay?
I dearly regret starting with eBay again, have over 2000 listing - put a lot of time in - creating those listings
and now just give up again?
I signed up to list 10.000 to start, but haven't listed since eBay disappointed me so badly.
Don't know, should I leave again and stick with my other sites what I still have - or not.

1. You must have had it removed as I don't see on regarding shipping address. But with as much experience as you have, you should have know to never ship to a different address than is on the payment. Doing so makes you lose Seller protection.
2. This is a real problem. It breaks the rules, but it is darn hard to get Ebay to enforce this one. I know I've tried, really hard.
3. Did you contact Ebay and have them review the emails the buyer sent so you could prove extortion. You still have time and might be able to get this one removed, but you need to contact Ebay do NOT use the automated version of trying to get it removed. The AI is not smart enough to review your messages. If you contacted Ebay on this, which method did you use to contact them?

On each Ebay page there is a link to contact Customer Service at the top of the page and again at the bottom of the page.
I would suggest that you contact Ebay for Business on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter for the better trained CSRs.
Here are your options for contacting Ebay Customer Service. Please be aware that for social media CS, you send them a Private Message and briefly explain what your problem or issue is. Feel free to leave your Name, address, phone number and/or your email address in this message. It is private and secure and it may help to speed up the response for you.
https://twitter.com/askebay
https://www.facebook.com/eBay/
https://www.instagram.com/ebayforsellers/
Your options will be on the left. If you use the link below you can only get to the Automated Assistant or Chat box type AGENT in the box and hit enter. You will then get more options. Not all options are available 24/7. It will depend on staffing available. So sometimes you can request a call back and sometimes you can't. Sometimes you have the Chat option available and other times it won't me. If it is important to you to use one of those options, just try back later.
If you use a cell phone or other mobile device, you may need to turn off your Spam filter so that Ebay can call you.
If you are a seller outside of the US or Canada, you will need to use the Chat Option.

I think replying to the negatives is not productive. I think people search out negatives to see if the seller honest and trustworthy, not perfect. Best to roll with flow and wait the 12 months until they fall off. Believe in yourself and don't fret about the rest.

Does eBay care about Sellers and Buyers?
eBay does care about buyers and sellers, but that does not mean that every one of the 20 million sellers and 135 million buyers will have a completely trouble-free experience.

That is a Major Issue you brought up, That we have to agree & follow all the rules & are even judged by them, But they don't even follow their own rules or adjust them to suit their own situation!

Each of your three responses to your negative feedback start off with calm measured information, supporting your professionalism and strong customer service, only then to devolve into calling the buyers derogatory names (say goodbye to the hope of feedback revision), and ending with a flourish of bad-mouthing the platform you are currently hoping to profit from. How does this benefit you?
These traits in a seller’s response to feedback—anger, defensiveness, blaming, name-calling—are the kiss of death for a seller’s reputation, drawing the wrong kind of attention from future buyers.

Sorry for your situation. Rules are implemented for a reason. As far as eBay caring about sellers/buyers, this is a business & that's how eBay views it. Personal feelings really don't apply where eBay is concerned. You have the right report the extorted feedback to eBay. Neither buyers nor sellers can extort feedback. It is a policy violation.
Good luck

I agree, while the implementation of some things may have a reason, that doesn't mean it is a good one. Such as the recent change to how a seller can get negative FB removed. Ebay is leaving the ENTIRE decision to AI. And it is clear that the AI has not been programmed properly so that it accurately applies the rules Ebay has on Feedback and it doesn't review emails between buyer and seller. There are plenty of holes in this process that leaves the seller to deal with the outcome of Ebay NOT supporting / enforcing their own rules.
Not to mention this change goes against what is stated in our User Agreement we have with Ebay. This change in how they handle FB removal is a big deal and a big problem for all of us.

Does eBay care about Sellers and Buyers?
Yes they do.
Buyers and sellers make ebay money.
Ebay wants to make money.

Regarding that 1st one, couldn't you have contacted eBay and pointed out that you are specifically required by eBay rules to ship to the address shown on the invoice when the buyer pays?

I have to agree with you & I am surprised by your answer!

The feedback system is obsolete. It was designed for a no recourse sales environment where conflict was constant.
Ebay has evolved into a more responsible marketplace with methods available for buyers to receive what they buy or a refund.
There is zero need for feedback on Ebay or any other large Internet marketplace.
Every site which has it would remove it if they weren't afraid of their sellers who have nothing going for them other than 100% FB creating a PR nightmare.

I would have to disagree - I look at feedback before I buy from any particular seller - I'll pay more for an item from a good seller and shun an obviously poor seller, even though I am aware there are feedback wars between competition - suffice it to say on that regard, I dont aim to become a casualty of war, so I steer clear of bad feedback sellers regardless...

You are part of a shrinking minority.
As the number of mobile users increases the numbers skew. It is virtually impossible to view enough FB to make a difference. With mobile users becoming close to a majority of users FB becomes even more irrelevant.
As the number of problem categories shrinks the number of people who feel the need shrinks.
As I have posted many times, all of the problem transactions I have had as a buyer were with sellers with 100% FB. And they continued to have 100% FB even when Ebay NARUed them.
