Do you fear checking your messages everyday?

With reduced profit margins and slower sales, it's getting really hard to make a decent profit. I now live in fear of checking my messages everyday, that there might be another return or sale cancellation, that essentially nullifies any profit I make on this site. Do any of you also live in fear?

I love my international buyers.  Last year I listed a whole bunch of canisters of Limited Edition Downton Abbey tea made by the Republic of Tea... a lady from Norway bought one and then came back for the rest a couple of weeks later.  All told, that netted me around $70 and she left me glowing feedback.

Yes me to I'm shipping International daily to all countries. I've got hundreds of buyers on eBay from UK, England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales. Also many in South America, America, Europe, Russia, Japan, China  and other countires. I'm Aussie but I list directly onto eBay UK and USA to get these buyers it does help to sell on other eBay country sites.

I might give that a try given that I do sell a fairly decent amount to Canada and Europe!  Australia not quite as much, but I suspect that's largely due to the shipping costs.

I got a return now where the buyer first bought one item, then messaged me with extremely low ball offers on several other items where I told them I could not sell the others so cheap I go to their selling account and see they are a re seller.. So in retaliation, they are sending the one they bought back with a false SNAD  when we have returns accepted for any reason, full 30 days, we pay return shipping, and THEY JUST HAVE TO HIT THE SNAD  becuase they did not get their way with us for the other items. Love these people. B-L-O-C-K.  No fear, just no more opportunities to buy from us again.

Do what the Chinese do when you're the buyer and you message them.

Ignore the buyer's message.  Don't read it, just delete it and go get an ice cream.

or

Reply and insult the buyer with a rain of a thousand monkeys landing on their mother's head in a parched desertland of fruitlessness with naughtiness.

Nope. Not at all. I have never had a return. For 20 years the first thing I did every morning was look at my ebay. It was like my home page. Now, I pay no attention to it hardly at all.  I list a few things to hang out. That's about it. I consider ebay no more then a Bonanza now. Very sad. Yes if something does sell, I give good customer relations. But over the years all the fun is gone... the fun customers are gone. I hardly notice I'm on here now. Just here to watch the ship sink. going down with the ship I guess. It's hard to let go of things you once loved.  may as well hang on to the bitter end.

There are legitimate reasons for a message, a wrong item sent, you forgot to include the charger, etc. 

But what I really hate is buyers "experimenting" with what they buy.

Last year, a heavy set of train tracks (for hobby you smart guy!) was sold. The gentleman, I can't call him anything else here, they don't allow it, decided that it wasn't running on DC but AC. And he wanted DC.
