Hello All,
Why is it, that an item I listed, yets yanked within minutes and gets me put on selling restrictions, because of it being a so-called "Assault Weapon" related item, when there are literally tens of thousands of parts related that are listed, yet, they're able to continue selling, year after year? They're selling dozens and dozens of parts...some in the hundreds. If that isn't discrimination, what is?

Why did I get stopped for speeding when I was going the same speed as every one around me? I'm guessing that didn't make my speeding any less wrong.

Hi, sorry to hear you got stung. If you have had an item pulled before, it makes it more likely you’ll get pulled again for other infractions because you are on eBay’s radar. It is not fair that others manage to squeak by, but that’s the way it is. Sorry.

You were still able to drive the next day?
I doubt I could have if I had left driving the same speed I'd just gotten in trouble for.
Did you do this more than once or relist? Were you ever warned?

You were reported and they weren't.
But that is not the point. If it cannot be sold here, then it cannot be sold here. And deliberately doing so after having been warned, will get you permanently banned.

Did your title have a catch word in it?

To be able to address this, i would have to examine your listing and theirs as well. Even then, i do not know if i could come up with a satisfactory answer as to why. I do know that eBay polices its restricted policies in a seeming uneven way. It could be that the platform has contracts with some vendors to sell items that others are not allowed to sell, but do not know if that includes the weapons categories. There are more restrictive rules for weapons sales than other categories. Did your listing follow these listing rules to the letter? Or were you hoping to fly under the radar, emboldened by the sheer number of other listings selling similar items?

You're no doubt feeling frustrated. It's not discrimination against you by eBay. Approach it as a challenge to you to write you listing(s) to defeat eBay's Kraken
You might want to devote some time to come up the learning curve regarding discrimination to see "what is".

Just as I'd suspected, nothin' but a bunch of Ebay employees here.
If that were true we would simply close your account and ban you for life!

All we'd ever tried to do was make a few bucks and help other people with their hobbies. Now it feels like we're being treated as criminals.
Maybe you have never been arrested, convicted and tossed in prison......I have!
Being told by eBay that you can't sell something on THEIR site is hardly the same. eBay never said you were a criminal, they said you violated one of their policies.
