I've been selling on eBay for 5-years and used to regularly sell 10-12 items per day. Now I'm lucky to have 1 item sell and have even had 0 sales of recent (I haven't had a 0 sales day since I started). Yesterday I ended and relisted upward of 30 listings - and also didn't receive the standard "your item has ended" or "your item is listed" email confirmations. The missing email notifications are atypical from normal process
I saw there were some recent category updates on collectibles - of which I don't sell. Most my sales are for shoes and apparel. However, the timing of the category update rollout seems aligned to when my sales fell off a cliff and tanked. I've looked through the threads to see if any other small/medium size sellers are experiencing the same results on non-collectible items. Is anyone else experiencing challenges? Thanks for listening and any feedback is appreciated.

...there were few posts about slow sales recently...
...I, personally, admit my mistake of lacking attention but, have to admit "yes, it's slow"...
...have been selling from used to new items for a hobby, won't think of a steady income yet...

I am a 21 year eBay seller, and this is the first time I have had no sales in over a month on this account. Even worse the views are about 20% of normal.
I've spent untold hours over the past two weeks correcting categories for my pottery/glass and dolls/bears collectibles - not to mention re-doing the item specifics. What is even more frustrating is that item specifics that were entered less than a week ago keep disappearing, and I keep getting required item missing messages even though there was no such message just days before. And those 10 or more recommended item specifics often don't even apply to the item being sold.
Fortunately, the latest stupid fall seller updates did not affect my other accounts or I'd really be pulling my hair out. I just switched five ended items from this account to one of my others (exact same listing) yesterday, and one has sold already. That makes no sense.

Sales are way down and have been, which makes me wary of the upcoming and kinda already started holiday shopping season.
I'm a little bit the opposite of you though, I don't really sell shoes and apparel on here anymore, I stick to more collectibles and my home made stuff...
So us being different kinds of sellers also says a lot because it's showing it's widespread.. I know I've said it on here enough times already, but they don't advertise. Every day I see ads on TV for Etsy, Amazon, PoshMark... hello.... does eBay think they are still such a big fish in the pond that everyone knows about them so they don't have to advertise?
I mean, listen, if AMAZON is advertising (I mean, who doesn't use Amazon? everyone knows about it, but they still advertise)... get a clue eBay, you need to also.
I'm just not understanding their business philosophy and like, wanting to stay relevant and competitive and flourish and why they aren't shouting from the rooftops that, yeah, all these other things now exist, but we were the pioneers and are still the best and make themselves the best and want to be *that* company. Instead they do, well, nothing. 😕 I don't get it.

Clothes. That is the answer as tens of thousands of sellers are also selling them. There are over 86 pages to choose from. Sorry to say but don't get your hopes up of things increasing.

We cannot figure it out.
Every day, it is a new obstacle.
I think I will offer a prize to the next buyer who blindly happens upon our items, as seriously, that is about the only way I think it will happen.
Peace out Humphrey.

You should have seen how badly they were wobbling.
But this doesn't make it bad, just maybe more useful along side something else. But then, I've never been a one site person. I don't do this for fun.
Great Moms turn them off first.

I sell nonsport trading cards. I went from having 4-8 packages a day for 7 months to having days of no sales in August. I was still selling 3-4 pkgs most days . Last few weeks I was lucky if I got one sale a day. Last two days-nothing. Before that I sold a $1.00 card
I barely made my store fee this month, phew, but whatever is happening is going to really hurt if it continues. I won't pay for a store I can't even make a profit with. I'll go back to 250 FREE listings a month. I have no where else to sell these, so this is it for me, I have absolutely no clue why its all come to a stop.
My last 31 days is down 66%. I was always in the green, or down 1% or 2% for most of the year.
People "argued" with my post back in Sept/Aug about it being slow and they said it was me, not ebay. Well.....apparently its not JUST me otherwise I would have been the only one posting about it.

I see 15 sales from yesterday, and you're selling the kind of thing that many many people have in an over-crowded category, with regular sales the previous days - seems like you're doing fine.
Don't bother with emails - check your listings. Emails are not reliable and haven't been for some time. They don't have anything to do with actual sales numbers, though.

Hi all - thanks for the feedback.
@chapeau-noir - the 15 items you mention were ended listings, not sales.
@divwido - I just canceled my Amazon seller account after 9-months given the huge life of scam buyers, no-reason returns, and now free returns paid by the seller. Scamazon was great for the first few months but became too much hassle.
eBay has always been consistent. Legit - my average daily sales were always 10 or more items based on my current average store listing and inventory. Again I'm a medium size seller and not the newbie seller with 10 feedback and 5 listings asking if things are slow. Going from a consistent 10+ sales per day to now 0 for two straight days is concerning. There's got to be more problems with the platform and others having the same issues. Thanks again for the comments and good luck all.

Huh - they show green - is that an out of stock option?

As a test I ended slow/stale listings and resisted them as a "Sell Similar" to refresh the listing (i.e. winter apparel). For whatever reason they show as "Sold/Completed" to other buyers if you view my sold history. IDK

OK, well, that's a bummer. Here I thought things must have suddenly picked up.
