Did good in October but so far November has been a bummer.

Is this what other sellers are experiencing? Does it have something to do with the election?

Same here.  October was good.  This month has been crickets.  I don't think it has anything to do with elections though.

You sell very specific historical collectible type items.  It seems that this year I have noticed those posting about bad months fit this type of seller.  My sales have been very good since September.  They slowed down in the summer.  Honestly, I think there is an ebb and flow to eBay sales...BUT the economy has had an effect on sales this year.  I would say hang tight as the Christmas season begins surely your items will begin to sell again for that reason alone.

October was ... not horrible, but pretty bad.  November has been so quiet it's like i don't have anything listed.  Zero sales this week.  This is supposed to be busy season.  It's been Housekeeping season instead.   I sell mostly OOAKs and vintage, and ... crickets.  Or grackles - had a huge flock yesterday before the storm hit.   too cold for crickets.

@evelyb30 Ya, I see your items are very specific to one type of buyer.  You also have a pretty low inventory.  Both of these equal slower sale in 2022.  At least that has been my observation.  Why?  I am not an economist, nor do I pretend to be one.  Hope your sales pick up!!

I call it eBay’s Rolling Blackouts.  Whether it’s random fluctuations, the election, phases of the moon or Enemy Action, it happens to me too.

Same here, October was very decent and November has been awful so far. For me, I assumed it's because I took time away for a few days while traveling. It can take a bit for sales to ramp up again. Still, things are surprisingly slow. I sell craft supplies, usually good sellers this time of year.

ebay started changes to PLs last weekend, which fired off a bunch glitches/issues, including zeroed view counts which they "fixed" but they are still not right, you can tell via clicking the view counts to go to the extended view counter. Theory is they are testing everyone's PLs, some have said in light of coming cyber monday, maybe so, maybe not, but PLs have not been performing as was past week, this weekend is no different - to notice it, you need to watch campaign daily several times a day, you will see that impressions gain is much slower as normal.

This past week has been awful.  3 sales.  It did not help, in the least, that my only high value sale this week had the funds put on hold when I really needed that sale to go through.  Most of Oct. was ok.  My best month of the year but the bar was set pretty low considering all of 2022 was pathetic.  November is looking like the rest of this year - dismal.

I'm sick & tired of the viewing limitations.  Unless people visit your store, MANY do not see your items in a general search.  They see plenty of nonsense completely unrelated to their search perimeters, though!

I was the opposite for right now. November is better than October so far.

I always wonder after eBay makes their two-yearly updates has anything to do with it. I finally got hit with the new listing format in early October and my sales went way down for the month. Seems to be picking up a bit for November, but still too early to call it a successful month.

I have experienced the same. If you review the Amazon stock price it has been sinking for about 6+ weeks except for last week due to a bull market. This is related to 3rd qrt sales. I talk to the post office here in Porter, TX all the time, their mail load has stagnated. My conclusion, it ties back to the economy. Based on what market and products you sell, there will be individuals that do well even in a downturn but the majority will experience a drop off.

Just my opinion.

Dead, I’m gonna close my store soon. It’s pointless spending any more effort here.

October was good for us and November is going well. Think it has a lot to do with what categories sellers focus on ?

Good luck to everyone !

Now it's low.    Last year this time I had 8x the items up and a store.  Sales dropped to the point where a store was no longer viable.    I'm closing for good in December due to a lot of factors, eBay's screwups being only one of them.  That said, everything I've listed would have sold in past years and sold quickly.  That includes the 2008 Recession.   I'd rather sell here than send everything to auction locally, but... come January one guess where it's all going.  There's absolutely no point trying here.
