Describing items correctly

I have been noticing lately a lot of sellers do not even describe there items, all they say is '' condition is used'' now how in  the world does anyone expect to sell something just saying that, I have been selling on here 22 years and have never said that, I believe in describing to the T, then if you ask that seller is this item good, work etc, the reply i get most of the time even if i get one, does not help, Ebay just ain't what it once was and that my friends is very sad.😫

Re: Describing items correctly

With what I am seeing lately, I have to agee with you.

However, I have noticed that the experienced sellers have accurate descriptions and great pictures.

It seems that the newer sellers and the less experienced sellers are posting very short descriptions and not disclosing any flaws, issues, etc. Their pictures are often not so great also. What happened to peoples integrity these days?

As an experienced seller/buyer, I just ask a ton of questions or just avoid beginner sellers with short descriptions and bad pictures.

Re: Describing items correctly

oh i am not buying from these sellers, i just ask them to describe better to see if they will, I'm not complaining about any of this, just saying its sad, and how ebay is nothing like when it started, it started out being about the people whom had yard sales to be able to do it here, ebay then was for the seller, now the buyer, but without sellers there would be no ebay 🙂

Re: Describing items correctly

I have only part of eBay since 2008 and it has changed and not 4 the better in my opinion
But especially within the last 3 or 4 years I find buying on eBay still fun and interesting despite my irritations at some bad sellers
Have good day
hope u sell alot

Re: Describing items correctly

oh i like buying on here, and kinda selling, i'm just more or was more into selling big things that can't be shipped, as u probably see i do not have many things listed, the buy it now option i never leave it on 30 days and do not care for the auto renew after 30 days, if it has not sold or even been viewed many times in 5 days i will end it, i rotate from here to fb on my stuff, most sells on fb and several of my repeat buyers r from here, ebay is slowly but surely going down the drain lol

Re: Describing items correctly

one other thing nothing to do with this, ebay is very unfair, they have accused me of breaking the rules when as of right now can prove and show hundreds selling same things they said was a no no, i even called and showed as we spoke the others doing it and they did nothing to them and them guys r still doing it, the rep told me someone turned me in, i said i report these guys all the time and nothing happens, his reply was we can't catch them all, well that is **bleep** to me, and the scammers getting my personal info off ebay got solid proof of that to, i have several fake money orders right here with me and i never even replied to these scammers but once years ago, ebay is suppose to protect our personal info, these people get my address, number and sent me a overnight express mail with a bank check for twice my price trying to get me to send them half back lol, I have law friends and law myself, ebay could get sued over this type stuff, some fgolks would not know what to do, but i do lol
