6 hours isn't bad at all for them to be checking listings in categories that sell "restricted or prohibited" items.
I suspect that they may be cracking down on listings that should never actually see the light of day. There are always complaints of "why did they end my listing? Others have the same item, blahblah". Instead of checking after it is listed, they are checking before.
Also ... the UA specifies that your items may not be shown immediately ... no recourse there.

When listing an item, you agree to comply with eBay's Listing policies and Selling practices policy and that:
- You are responsible for the accuracy and content of the listing and item offered
- Your listing may not be immediately searchable by keyword or category for several hours (or up to 24 hours in some circumstances). eBay can't guarantee exact listing durations
