Delayed email notifications from PayPal and eBay...comes and goes

Why do we sometimes get the email from eBay and PayPal about a sale, immediately after a sale, and other times get them at mixed times? Internet traffic? Updates to their email systems? It’s bad lately. I have to check my “sold” page to make sure I didn’t miss anything. Even my emails from PayPal showing I paid for a shipping label comes a day later.

Sorry it's been bad, there may be issues with the system, but in any case, there can be delays with messaging.

This does happen from time to time.  Usually nothing to get alarmed about.  Checking your Seller Hub for unshipped orders is always a good idea.  We never know when there may be a delay with Ebay emails or PP emails or both.  So always a great idea to check your hub on a regular basis.

I don't know what causes these delays, but we all know they happen and have happened for years.  So be prepared, as we all have other sources of reviewing this information easily.

I've read posts that say that they got their notice of an item sold from Paypal, not Ebay, and this appears to indicate intermittent problems in the system.  

Ebay messages sometime show a time lag; not all are as prompt as one would wish.

I recall someone posting that they received a message from Ebay, a seller, that required action, I believe, 4 days later.  They received the message after the deadline for action, whioh indicates to me there can a be a lengthy delay.

I had a sale elsewhere yesterday and my Paypal email came hours later. I got all excited thinking I got another sale but it was just the same one I'd already shipped out which had been picked up by the mail carrier.

ALL email mail can be delayed.  I've had the better half send one from 20' away on the same email provider take hours to get to me several times.    NEVER depend on email..........  always check ON ebay and ON paypal........
