Why is it that everywhere else is dropping rent due and interest on loans but ebay is giving us deferred payment? What is that, we still have to pay it???? If we're not making any money how are we suppose to pay the store subscriptions? We have the option to close our stores but those of us with large amounts of inventory would have to start from scratch if we were unable to reopen within 45 days. It would take me YEARS to redo my store inventory. A few years ago ebay lost a bunch of our pictures, it took me 3 years to get all my listings fix while bringing in new inventory and keeping up with sales. Ebay could file with the Federal Government and get reimbursed for any lose that resulted from them wavering our store fees, which is rent. They are surely saving plenty by not having to pay people to answer phones because right now their customer service is the worst I've ever seen. I honestly feel bad for the buyers that are having to deal with some of the sellers out there. Ebay has ask sellers for years to step-up make the buying experience on ebay wonderful for our customer, Free Shipping, 30-day returns, guaranteed delivery dates.... And for most of us we did as they ask, even if we didn't want too. Now ebay needs to set up for their sellers and do the right thing, keep their commissions but waiver their store fees for 3-months atleast giving the economy and people a chance to heel and their sellers a chance to survive and save their businesses. 20-year I've been doing this and have done everything they've ever ask of us, time for them to return the loyalty.

@cowgirlup824 I tend to agree with you that if eBay does anything for their own country's Sellers is that they waive fees until the President lifts the National Emergency ... that is a monetary solution, fees will be owed when things sell so they will get paid something.
The offer of 50,000 free listings for a lot of Sellers is worthless, I can't acquire inventory right now like I could before Covid-19 so why have free listings when there is nothing to list?!?
I guess middle class America is once again squeezed for all we're worth, huh?!?

deferred fee payments, free listings...not sure why all the ingratitude when eBay was not obligated to offer anything ...
Selling on eBay is a choice!
eBay offers sellers a platform upon which to offer/sell their wares...it is up to the seller to do what is best for them while using said platform
Sellers who choose to sell on eBay and then make it their necessity, are doing so because they made that choice....
there are choices in life and those choices need to be adjusted and adapted to whatever situations occur along the way.
Sellers are not "entitled" to more than what the selling platform offers, through good times and bad...and it is up to the seller to make whatever adjustments/changes necessary to make that platform work for them...
This C-virus is a bad situation for the WHOLE world and I do feel for sellers - ALL sellers, but it seems there will be no satisfying sellers as the pleas for more/more/more continue ...
Are sellers going to give all their customers discounts/deferred payment?
Given what has been offered by eBay thus far to store sellers and only store sellers, it would seem that it wouldn't matter what eBay did/does, it would never be enough because eBay can't satisfy everyone. There never will be any kind of satisfaction for sellers, no matter what eBay offers...
No matter what eBay does it will never satisfy everyone, so it's best to do whatever it takes for one's own situation.
Adjust, adapt and keeping moving along...
Stay calm and carry on as best as you can!

Where are all of these places that are giving people free stuff? All of my utilities, insurance, etc. have sent out notices saying they're waiving late fees on payments, but not a single one of them is saying I don't still have to make those payments.

I went in to the supermarket today that i've been doing business with for years.
I got a half gallon of milk and a loaf of bread.
Because times are tough, the Manager said i could take them and pay for them later.
I said "You mean i still have to pay for them?"

No one has dropped rent for anyone I know.
No one has dropped interest on my loans, or for anyone I know.

Find a tool that lets you export your inventory into a local computer file.
eBay's turbo lister does it, and if you are clever with google you can still find it.

Your exactly right we chose Ebay but 20 years ago there wasn't alot to choose from, now there is but this is what I know so I stay. Then Ebay started making impossible restrictions trying to become Amazon, but none of us are Amazon and it's extremely hard for us to do the things Amazon does. Free Shipping, Guaranteed delivery times, 30 day returns, Free returns for any reason, all of this cost sellers money, not ebay. These things come out of our pockets. Everyone needs to read the stimulus package. We are no different than any other small business local gift shop or hardware store which fund have been set aside to help us recover, the government doesn't want small business to just go away. Anything that ebay offered us, their sellers, small business owners to help us stay in business could be paid back to them. I chose to do this years ago rather than go on disability I wanted to remain a productive member of society rather than a strain on it. And please do not misunderstand what I'm saying I know plenty of people on disability that deserve it but I also know plenty that are playing the system, I just wanted to do my part. Ebay offered us 50,000 additional listing, where exactly are any of us at this time going to get and be able to sell 50,000 items? Do you know how long it would take to list 50,000 items? So how exactly is that suppose to help us? You've been on here for 17 year and done 2,900 transaction (nothing currently listed) so we've been here about the same amount of time but I've done over 25,000 transactions and worked really hard to keep each and every customer happy and coming back to ebay. I like what I do and don't want to lose it. Your in Canada an commenting on what is happening her in the United States read what our government is doing for us small business owners, to try to help us save our businesses. I'm not asking ebay to do anything that they wouldn't get back just to help save the businesses that make them, without us there is no Ebay.

Has anyone been approved for the deferred payment. And then still had all of the invoice taken. I'm currently trying to get help as I was approved and now they went ahead and took the full payment. I'm being told so sorry once they take the money they can't give it back. Which I don't understand, because if a sale goes bad the money can be put back so why not when they make the mistake. I wasn't as worried as I thought I had a little more money and time to work with. Now that they took that money I'm not sure how I'm going to get to the next stepping stone. As if I didn't have enough to worry about right now.
