Is there anyway to find out about December 24 and if eBay is expecting us to ship orders.
UPS Ground is closed which is about 90% of our shipping service

You should temporarily revise our handling time to add an extra day.

eBay's definition of "holiday" is based on USPS's official holidays schedule, which can be seen on the usps.com web site. USPS website currently officially notifies users that some post offices might close early on December 24. eBay does not publish their own holiday schedule, they just state that "A business day is a normal weekday. Saturdays, Sundays, and major holidays aren't business days." I would expect that "major holiday" does not encompass "days when UPS Ground doesn't pick up."

Also, USPS IS scheduling pickups for December 24. Also from usps.com:
Revising your handling time can be done in a few minutes with a few key strokes. It's always prudent to not assume anything about eBay's programmers' capabilities to recognize even official holidays.

Thank you. I called eBay and got the answer that was needed. No guessing as to what is correct or not

That's scary. Do you mind sharing what they told you? I would do as Nobody's perfect suggested to be safe.

Good luck with that. eBay's customer support is almost as unereliable as their programmers.

Bottom line: The post office is open so you have to ship on Monday the 24th.

Ebay CS is often the last to know what's really happening. To be on the safe side I to wou;d extend my handling time. Easy to do with bulk edit and you can change it back the same way after the holiday.

They said they go by what the post office holiday schedule is and Monday is not the holiday. And if it is advertised a shipping methond that you can ship you have to ship it, in the case where we advertise something UPS Ground to call them and they will manually remove them from late shipping mark.
Our small local post office is closing early and will not be picking up packages. We talked to the USPS Distribution Hub and they are going to send a truck for pickup at our normal daily pickup. We also have determined that we will message our buyers throughout the weekend and ask if they will take it FedEx Ground or if they will take a Free Upgrade to FedEx 2 Day Express. We already planned on being open but were hoping to give our guys off Christmas Eve

President Trump also signed a Executive Order making Christmas Eve a Federal Holiday, I would Image that the entire post office will now announce that they are closed Dec. 24

That isn't what I asked. If we have to ship I will make our employees come into work. That would be much easier than editing 3k listings twice
UPS Ground and USPS are not picking up or delivering shipments on Dec. 24
eBay doesn't publish a holiday schedule?
If you use business policies it takes less than one minute for each shipping policy to make the changes for all listings attached to that shipping policy.
I do not know how eBay will handle your question but chances are several different carriers will be delivering on that day. Maybe they handle it based on what shipping company you have set up for each listing?
Good Luck Selling!
