I posted earlier about a buyer making a false claim on a 10k ring we sold them a few days ago. This same buyer has an open return request for a the item and we discover they have this item now for sale on Mercari using our photos from ebay. I stumbled upon it today. Same customer, has her name on the Mercari account same ring. This person has a total of 10 purchases on ebay and 3 sells on Mercari, a newbie infrequent buyer (scammer) and seller on both websites. The customer was reported to ebay for their false claim and we sent a screenshot of the item for sale on the message system here to the buyer. We also warned the buyer that they better send us back what we sent. Unbelievable what these scammers will do on here. We congratulated, LOL! THE BUYER FOR HER 300 PERCENT MARKUP ON THE ITEM. WE SOLD IT TO HER FOR LIKE 220.00. SHE HAS IT UP FOR SALE FOR 480.00 ON MERCARI. The item is fairly rare so IMPOSSIBLE for this to be another ring this person has to sell OTHER than what we sent them.

I would agree with this for sure, however they likely did not contact the buyer until the claim was closed.

AS the price of something become more unattainable it can become a target for someone to do a flip or pawn shop flip correct. Gold is an easily flipped item for thieves.

Oh, now that makes better sense, thank you.

I never look at my feedback on my store from my other account that is a buying account. Never thought to do it. No reason to.

Doesn't have to be a buying account. It can be any account other than your selling account. The only Ebayers that can see the actual ID name of the buyer on the feedback is the account holder. I can see mine, but you can't. I can't see yours, but you can.

Of course. Distinguishing real vs. fake gold is arguably the #1 thing they do, because THEY don't want to get scammed. That's why I laughed about the buyer claiming in her feedback she was wrongly told the ring was fake gold by a pawn shop. Lying in her feedback to cover for lying in her INAD claim, I mean if I didn't see it with my own eyes I'd think you were pulling our legs for an early April fools!
Seems like she might be a clinical compulsive liar actually.

LOL!! I THINK she did not sell it to the pawn shop because you know they give you practically nothing for it. Then she went to the sell it thang.

What is the advantage of doing that? Sure they would get the item back, but the would also be out all the money too.

HOW can anyone sell stuff (ANY STUFF) on Ebay for $10k -- and sleep at night?
I question OP's judgment.
We hear stories here EVERY DAY about sellers getting ripped, and Ebays complicity in that act ... and a seller comes here, voluntarily, and sells items for $10,000 ... and is amazed and chagrined when they get ripped off.
Are you new here OP?
Your first week?
That is, um ... not smart, in my opinion.
Anyone who plays pickle ball on the freeway has no room to complain when they get taken out by a north bound 18-wheeler.
You kind of asked for it.

Do you SEE a dollar sign before "10k" in her post?
Pssst, 10k stands for 10 karat (gold). Also she said right in the post how much she sold the ring for. $220 -Is that okay with you, oh pickle ball all star?
Are YOU new here?
This YOUR first week?
You kind of asked for it.

WHAT??? You suggested the OP purchase the item from the other seller. I simply asked what good would that do as the OP would be out that money. Your response is this?!?!?
