How's everyone SALES going this Holiday season?
I am down 30% less than last year. On average I sell 10-15 items a day. A low day is usually around 7, and high can be around 22 items.
Yesterday, 4 items, and today only 1 so far. Seems like a horrible holiday season for small US sellers this season. I've heard the same from a few sellers, but I am sure there are some with great SALES this season!
I genuinely hope SALES are great for everyone! But again, how are your sales this year compared to last?
My last 31 days has dwindled down slowly and slowly this December. Probably he worst month this year.
2 years ago I had 600 listings and made about double what I do now with 1,400 listings... hmmm
Maybe I'm in another blackout or something, but it does cause some anxiety as always when SALES are down. But I REALLY expected December to be booming! Maybe everyone is saving for presents?

My sales are much higher this month ($1200), over double last December. I am a small seller, without a store. I survive on free listings only. This month I've received several promos, so have more listed than ever before.

Im in the same pathetic boat. Down 24% from last month despite the same amount of listings (if not more) and constant infusions of fresh merchandise. Zero sales today. I've never gone a full day without a single sale (at least, since many years ago when I sold just a few items at a time) but today is really setting itself up for failure. It's ridiculous.

I wonder if your unresolved by seller defect is impacting your numbers? I had one and felt my sales dropped off. It was eventually removed, but I felt it hurt me.

I know I'm up 348% from last month, so I'm happy about that, and there's still a couple weeks left in the month, so sales are good so far.

dismal and depressing
Did a comparison on one of my other accounts
2011-174 sales
2012-150
2013-74
2014-54
2015-26
2016-14
Back in the day things sold as fast as I could list them.
Don't have answers, thinking people just have more places to shop online and Amazon is eating ebay for lunch. Too bad ebay didnt grow like Amazon, I don't think we would have so many complaints about sales. Plus I think people don't really feel comfortable making a frivolous purchase as compared to a necessity.

No it's not. Because I got it deleted and have a defect rate of 0%

Clothing and shoes have done well here and a few vintage jewelery items but I have done far far better on the vintage and handcraft site. It is probably because of the vintage stuff I sell. They will do better here after the holidays.

I did too, but have no proof it didn't hurt my sales.

5 to 10 years ago the junk shops and most other places were like ghost towns alot of times I was the only one in the place snacking and picking up junk. Today it is wall to wall people all thinking the same thing buy it for a few bucks and hit the big one on ebay, but the big one on ebay doesn't come around much anymore and the biggest influx of these people is in the used clothing market. Used to be the light aroma of cigarette smoke, perfume and human waste was the smell of victory today you need to avoid it like the plague and find some different type of merchandise...

I've been on ebay for 10 years and this is the worst ever. I also sell on Amazon and that is down a bit too this year. I blame the elections. People are uncertain about the coming years and I think are wisely holding on to their money.
Ah well. It was fun for awhile............

My sales are very down this month just like they were last December. In other months of the year I typically sell 10-15 items a week (40-60 a month). But during the holiday season I sell less than half of that, much less.
Pre-owned children's clothes are exactly hot in people's minds when they are busy buying toys and other NWT Christmas gifts. I wasn't expecting much this month, I am no shocked in the least.

Absolutely terrible, down 30% from last year. I am absolutely positive eBay's search engine gave preference to corporate accounts and Chinese trash. I'm so angry I could spit, seriously. Thanks for nothing eBay.
