I have an item that a customer is interested in. It has a volume discount in the listing which has properly worked for previous customers, this new customer messaged me saying she put 4 in her cart but it isn't reflecting the volume discount yet. How should I reply/why would that happen?

Had this happen recently on a large bookseller on the site (buy 3 get 1 free)..........realized that 3 of the items had the promo and (1) listing did not.
Are you certain all 4 listings have the "promo" that the customer selected?

Might be a current "glitch" -
You can always refund the Buyer the amount. No way for a Seller to truly replicate what a Buyer is saying. Just email the Buyer, promise the exact amount you will refund them and tell them to proceed with the order. As a Seller, you are not penalized as regards doing so, including transaction fees for a partial refund.

Ask the buyer to see if the discount appears on the checkout page before they pay @old_new_and_interesting.
For some reason I sometimes get messages like the one from your buyer and the discount doesn't show in the cart but it does show on the next screen.

Mine was worked all the last time. But now I tried this volume pricing feature again and it didn't work with 2 for 10% , 3 for 15% and 4 for 20%discount. So I tried changing 4 for 22% and somehow IT WORKED ! And started to show immediately. So I changed back 4 to 20% and it looks like it's working now.
