Hello eBay community,
I am going to start selling on eBay.
I want to know some tips for creating an attractive listing.
What I should do and should not do when creating listings.
Can anyone help me in this?
Thank you.Stay safe.

Welcome, I think you will like it! Don't use stupid things like "LOOK" with eyeballs or WOW!!!!!, Just put what you think people will type in 1st, say exp: Barbie dolls, put: Vintage Barbie, 1960, org clothing, clean no smells, or if its a vintage truck put in: Vintage Buddy L, 1962 truck, turq, intact, do you see where I'm going with this? Those are called Key words, what are people searching for? Some will have a particular year, some will have a particular color, I don't know what you are selling but put yourself in their shoes, what are they going to type in to search your item? Hope this helps a little and best of luck always.

Pictures. As important as price. I try to take pictures as if there would be no description. If you were considering purchasing this item based on pictures alone what would you like to see? Keep your background uncluttered and neutral in color. Some colors don't photograph well such as purple and some pinks. Lighting is an issue for me. I am sure an experienced photographer out there could help.
The biggest improvement I made was when I began to use photo editing software. There are many on the internet and I have been very pleased with the free ones. I currently use 3 different ones. Each program excels in its own area. The one I use extensively is paint.net. The "magic wand" feature was a real game changer!
I hope this helps.

Don't make them too busy, wordy or too many graphics.
Clear crisp pictures. Up to 12. Buyers like to look at the pics of something from all directions.
Clear and descriptive description. Don't cut corners. Think like a buyer, what would you want to know if you were looking at the item.
Your title is key. It is prime real estate, so don't waste space with too many words that someone won't use to search for your item. Be descriptive and use all the key words you think buyers might use to search by.
READ the policy pages for how to sell on Ebay and the new seller stuff. I'll give you links below so that can help you locate them.
Feel free to take a look at some of my listings for ideas and layout. I carry stuff in three categories so the listings look slightly different between types of items I sell. Look at them all and see what you like and don't like. Get ideas you may want to use or expand upon them with your own take. I sell craft books, beads and fragrances. Odd combinations, but it works for me. LOL
Good luck and welcome to Ebay.
