I have revised my 1800 ebay.ca listings to conform to new rules and still can not get on BEST MATCH on ebay.com - 95% of my sales are to USA so poor exposure is destoying my business. 50% less sales for 2018. Considering Crazylisters help to improve listings. Thanks billchrest

Hi, itty. Happy Sunday lol. I have asked this sort of same question with no answer: a lot of sellers come here saying they can't see their items in search, even if they put in the item number and also keywords. Then posters pile up here and tell them "we can see it." My question was: is there a difference when, as a seller, you are NOT SIGNED IN versus SIGNED IN to ebay?

I am not a tech expert. My opinions are based on observations made over many years. It appears that what you are "shown" can vary. The signed in/not signed it does not seem as important today as it used to be. With tracking cookies or whatever they are called, it looks to be more DEVICE specific with some variation in views that are browser specific. These littly 'bytes' of information are not easily disposed of by simply clearing your cache or browsing history, and will influence what your are shown.
Your behavior with regards to viewing, searching, and buying are all recorded , stored, used, or sold to others for the purposes of presenting items that you might buy. The result is not being shown items that do not fall into that category, and seeing advertisements for items that you purchased online, pinned to a pinterst page, or even purchased with a credit or debit card at a real brick and mortar store location.
Best selling items with a history of transactions are given better ranking. That is why we see items by sellers with lousy feedback, no free shipping, and no returns ranked higher in best match than those from sellers with a pristine reputation and lower price.
Any person can "see" your items if they have the item number. The chances of someone "finding" your item are increased if they look at your list and choose the exact words used in your title.
There are many many many factors that can influence what you see and or what you are shown.
