Where did you purchase them? If it was from a seller in China, there have been fakes. You need to take them to your post office and have them take a look and they can let you know if they are fake.

Most likely, it was your competitor who reported you, so there is less competition. Quite common on ebay. ebay doesn`t look at those items, theyare automatically remove because your competitor reported it.

I'm not sure where you acquired that impression, but it's not the case. eBay does not take down a listing when one member reports another for listing an allegedly counterfeit item.

If you take that roll to the Post Office. They will keep it if it is counterfeit and you are out. Just use them 1 at a time or sell on another site or friend or on the streets. Sorry this happened to you.

There was recently a large number of ads on FB for "forever" stamps for sale well below retail value and they turned out to be counterfeit. So if you were selling the stamps below market value (58¢) then you should not be surprised that the listing was taken down.

Ya and they seem to all move over to Facebook Market Place after they could no longer sell the fake stamps here.
Not saying the OPs are fake.

Are you being sarcastic? If these are fakes, OP should destroy them, or use them.

It takes a lot more than one report - believe me, I'm only one of several vintage sellers who battled to get fake 'vintage' and 'antique' clothing off of here (China made) and may as well have been just picking my nose and singing the Hut-Sut Song.
Forever stamps can only be sold by eligible sellers.

...oh dear Lord, we are now having counterfeit US Forever Stamps too...
...one day in the future, we all are will be...fake...!!!
...thanks to China...
...ok, now is some formal talking...the real stamps have a multi-color small printed number codes on each sheet or roll...these numbers sometimes were upgraded for special collection issue (stamp's collectors have come to Post Office in searching for these special package once in a while when they were informed because those won't be sold on USPS websites as collection, they were scattered when released to market)...also the UPC barcodes are recorded inside USPS finance and inventory systems every times new stamps were printed and released for future accounting...
...counterfeit stamps could not recognized when performing a sale scanning...some didn't have the colored number codes...many were very blurred printed...

Just because they may be registered sellers. They could be selling counterfeit stamps only at a higher price.

BAD advice! If fake, eat the loss and learn from it! Having purchased fake stamps doesn't mean that you can use them!

Just have them verified at the Post Office. Then report to ebay if they are legit. Make sure to report the buyer who stated this. Ebay will keep track of any reports on their account. If they make it a habit Ebay will step in. Your word - Their word is not enough. It will take time. If they continue and enough people report them they will be red flagged.

Where did you obtain the stamps that you offered for sale? I would recommend taking the stamps to the USPS and have them verified as either being authentic or counterfeit. If they turn out to be the latter, cooperate with federal authorities in their investigation.
As I understand it, the counterfeiting of postage stamps is the same as counterfeiting currency.
