Hello, I shipped a small package to North Hollywood, CA on March 9. It was an $85 Barbie doll. Tracking says on March 17th "Unable to deliver package because business was closed, will try redelivery next business day". Then nothing. I filled out a missing mail request at USPS.com, filled out the many pages, hit submit and got " There was a problem submitting your service request, please try again later" I tried again, same message. Not sure if I should call their 800 number and go thru all that again. The thing that bugs me. the buyer was super chatty before buying the item, then when I messaged them on March 17th to alert them about delivery attempt, total silence from them even up until today. I checked their feedback and was surprised to see they are in Thailand so the Hollywood address is just a forwarder even though I thought it was an apartment. No way to know if they did redeliver and forgot to scan and USPS won't let me submit form on website

@tweetyboyd1971 did u go to your local post office to have them look up the tracking on their internal system? and then take it from there?

Some sellers are reporting that USPS is no longer providing delivery scans when a package is dropped off at a freight forwarding company.
I recently used FedEx to ship to a freight forwarder and received delivery confirmation.

What item was it? Was it the PS2? That is a high target for scammers.
Did you ship with signature required?
Have you Google map / satellite the address? How does it look?
What does the buyers complete profile look like?

No, it was just a Barbie doll, $85 value. I guess I can go to local post office, but last time they just told me to call 800 number. Thank you all for your input

Shouldn't be a problem.
I shipped a Barbie Doll to South Korea without a problem.
I suggest not emailing buyer about anything...if there is a problem buyer will contact you.
It does take about a week or 1 1/2 weeks before buyer will receive it from California.
If you get an email from buyer just mention item got mailed to North Hollywood, California and from 'freight forward' to them in Thailand. The most important thing is letting buyer know that you know the mailing route of California to Thailand per 'freight forward.
Bo need to contact the post office.
Item may not have been scanned in North Hollywood which happens sometimes.

Florida is ...North Central or Hollywood while California is North Hollywood California...I used to live in LA. as well as Florida.

Regarding the Missing Mail request -- try it again using a different browser.
I've found that Chrome usually works when nothing else will.

California. Still not sure why there was full tracking up to 1st delivery attempt and then nothing after. Why even mention 1st delivery attempt and then decide they don't need to scan actual delivery

As long as you don't hear anything from the buyer, I wouldn't worry to much about it.

I did just try a different browser with same result:
There was a problem submitting your Service Request. Please try again later.
I also found it strange that there were so few choices when describing what was in the package, including "don't know" instead of "other"
I guess I will call the 800 number in the morning and have them refill all the info and submit. I won't say anything more to buyer and hope they are honest if they get it delivered.
And I appreciate everyone who took time out of their day to reply to this post-- Thank you!

Hope it works out for you.
I was trying to trace a package last night and also got those same error messages. I figured maybe the system was being worked on?
