I think that is like saying there are Christmas Deals in early December ....

... anyway, it sounds better than "We've extended Groundhog Day deals all through February!"

President's Day or Washington's birthday is the third Monday in February.  This year it is 18 Feb. Washington's birthday is 22 Feb, Lincoln's is 12 Feb. I don't think Lincoln's birthday was ever actually a holiday, but I could be wrong.

Another thread noticed that ship dates were pushed out a day, so I think it's programmer/data input errors.

It was years ago.  School holidays were for Lincoln's birthday and Washington's birthday, two separate days.  Then they combined them into one day, President's Day, and one holiday was lost.  But Washington's birthday was a federal holiday, and Lincoln's was not, so that is probably what you are remembering.

As long as it gives me as a buyer a better deal, I'm all for it. Who cares if it is a mistake. 😄

Both Lincoln's and Washington's birthdays were holidays when I wore a younger man's clothes.

It is sort of a shame that there has to be a holiday to have 'more time to highlight some great deals for our community'.  Smiley Sad

Why would it be necessary to ask an Ebay employee why Ebay advertised a presidents sale a week early ? I believe every store on the planet starts sales a week early if not earlier.
