I had told eBay that I would be taking a break from my store, due to the fires in California of November 2018, destroying a big part of my neighborhood and also my home. I took temporary residence in Florida with family.  eBay proceeded to delete all my photos, around 2000 photos. And then tell me it’s been past 90 days . 2 days past 90 days , in fact. Ebay is refusing to give me my photos back.  This is months and months and months of travel and work. I am so disappointed as I have paid eBay plenty of money for their partnership and having let them know , prior, about the fires, they could not give me a heads up saying- hey we are about to delete ALL your work?  This is simply not ok.

Certainly a terrible thing to have happened.........  but 90 days is shown as the longest that ebay keeps unused listings......  Not sure how long you expected them to last and if everything was destroyed......I presume that means your inventory also?  If so, what good are the pictures?

What a terrible ordeal. I am very sorry to hear you lost your home in those awful fires.

Where did you have your pictures stored? In Drafts? Or were they in Unsold listings, for example? Ebay doesn’t offer a place to store listings and drafts for extended periods. Many use listing services to store their work for indefinite times.

Who advised you when you first contacted eBay about the disruption in your life? Did they alert you to the timeframe available to keep listing info on the platform?

If they’re still showing in your unsold items list, I just learned that you can hold each photo until a box pops up with the option to save image. Its a PIA having to do them one at a time like that (I’m in the same boat needing my photos), but its faster than reshooting, at least for me. Hope this helps. Sooooo sorry about your losses...

It sounds like you could benefit from a 3rd party listing service, a cloud storage service, or an external hard drive. Always keep a digital backup of important files.

Good night and good luck
