This is the worst functioning website ever.
Is it just me or is everyone else sick of seeing 'our homepage is down' and 'error' message - three items listed and on two of them a barrage of such messages and photos not loading properly. And the most annoying of all - 'our homepage is down but everything else is ok' when you can't access anything.
Whoever manages the functions needs to go so they can get someone in who has a clue what they're doing!!

Thank you for taking the time to respond.
i don’t think it’s an issue with my kit - I’ve various devices that I use and it doesn’t seem to be any different. Sure sometimes the internet connection can vary but generally it’s pretty good and loading per se isn’t normally an issue and more of what happens to it subsequently.
items ‘disappearing’ is classic as is mentioned elsewhere in this stream. My record to date is five items just gone over a period of a month. Not listed, not sold, not in unsold, not in relist, just gone. And typing away, in a flash your description just goes and you’re left with the last few letters you’ve typed usually at the end of your effort (you should see my description sagas 🤣🤣).
And what’s the point of listed item back up if it doesn’t save the complete listing inc photos - and question why it’s there at all and I can only suggest it’s used as a sticking plaster to cover the ‘disappeared’ issue.
Yep, I know, I’m droning on but it’s so infuriating. Sure I have issues occasionally on other sites but with eBay it’s a constant battle with glitches everywhere and the whole site seems to be a concerted effort to maximise time spent listing rather than making things as simple as possible.

I am having the same exact problem. I think I’ve just stumbled upon the culprit. Chrome browser. I switched to safari and haven’t had the issue since.
and I understand the frustration oh so well. I’ve almost through my phone at least a dozen times.

That is the by far the worst comment I’ve heard in a long time.
It’s been a long time since I’ve found a website that has glitches, errors or problems outside of eBay. There hasn’t been a week that I’ve shopped on or sold on eBay where there wasn’t something major happening that I personally had to deal with or work around.
come on man. Do they pay you to cheerlead. It’s truly not helpful putting head in sand. Working for them or not fixing the issues is where the heads need to be.

The page the OP is referring to isn’t a page he wants to see either. It’s an error we get because eBay malfunctions.
this is it

It’s been happening for least 10 days. Far back as I go with it.

His comment was deflective and incredibly false. I think the comment that come from it was necessary. There’s a major issue and it’s aggravating. If you’re not having it that’s great for you. For those of us that are it’s not a can we’d like to see kicked down the road.

Then why are you here commenting? Just like to stir the pot?

The app is bad as well. I'm sure it comes down to the CEO not wanting to spend money on the site. I would bet it would lessen his bonus. Or shareholders dont want to let it happen. Just like CS Reps, most have been outsourced to India and the Philippines. I would bet the IT department has as well. I have heard for years that the site is ancient coding wise. They would have to build a whole new site and imagine the issues importing people's information/listings over to the new site.

How is that a bad comment? You asked if it was just you having issues - some will chime in that they have issues, some will report that they don’t experience “glitches.”
maybe if you can see that many don’t have issues, you can find a common link with those that do. Me, I don’t experience issues. Maybe I get one every six months, and refreshing fixes it. Doesn’t matter what I use - chrome, edge, safari, app on my newer iPhone, app on my older iPhone, tablet, laptop, Chromebook, etc.

It was a rude comment and unnecessary. Not everyone experiences the site the same as there are multiple factors that play into it. Sometimes when there are issues the simplest action corrects most if not all issues for some members. Clearing your cache and cookies is the first step. If that doesn't work, log out, turn your device off, then let it sit for a few seconds and fire it back up. See if that makes the change. The third thing to try if the other actions fail is to change browsers.
Because @inhawaii had not been experiencing problems is a good thing. Because anyone that may post isn't experiencing issues is a good thing. We don't all have to experience things in the same way. It also does not make the fact that others are experiencing issues any less important. It is all important.
Something else to consider is that because it is not a site wide issue, it could be regional or possibly due to the device being used or possibly some other factor. IDK, it is complicated and it can be different for different users due to different factors.

We all have the right to comment. He wasn't rude or confrontational. He posted his point of view, just as other posters have posted theirs. We don't all have to agree. If that were always the case, that we always agreed with each other, we would never learn a thing.

It is not you. Google or firefox browser, updated always .... ends up with
