I have been on this platform for over a decade, we did the managed payments last year and no problems until this new confirm identity update, this new update has become very frustrating. We sell on Amazon and all we had to do was upload our business info, tax resale etc, but here eBay wants all this personal info like SSN and DL photos, fine sure, whatever, I will upload since they want to hold our money now (which seems ridiculous) and guess what, all I get is this error message. "Something went wrong. Please try again later." Photo matches bank account, we are a business so our business address is different than a home address on a DL but tried switching that too and nothing.
Is there a direct line someone can call to have a rep get this verified or fixed? Meanwhile they are still holding our funds.

@conspecmaterials We were asked to update just last month, and we had some issues too. Are you using a PC or phone? Even using the PC, we were told our file was not the correct type (jpeg, etc). Then the photos (front & back) of the owner's DL was was too large, so we had to rescan and upload again. The owner's DL address was not our business address, but that was not an issue.
I would think from the error message that the problem is on ebay's end. You could contact them on the ebay for business Facebook page and send them a private message asking them to review your account to find a solution. They did not actually hold our funds, but threatened to do so if we did not supply the info they requested. Good Luck!

Tried the facebook page but they wont help me on there because its a 3rd party messenger app.
(QUOTE from FB page) "While we're always happy to help, the snag is that we're not quite able to access or review financial details through this channel due to our security/privacy policy. We would encourage getting in touch with our Payments team"
So I will try that now and see where it goes.

@conspecmaterials I would message them back and ask if they can check if the glitch is an ebay technical issue, not an issue with the info you're providing. If that fails, I would use the chat function - help & contact -scroll down - Contact us - account - manage contact info. Left side of page click chat w/ assistant - right bottom screen - scroll down - click contact an agent - click chat w/ an agent. The type a very brief - I'm having problems updating my info. An agent will eventually get to the point. It's hard to be patient, but you might get better results if you are. Ask them to review your account and explain what you need to do to get ebay the info they're requesting.
If there is some other issue with your account, they will be very vague and tell you they can't help. One poster here a while back had their account restricted because one of their relatives who hadn't lived with them for years had their account flagged and closed. So that street and IP address was also flagged. I hope this helps. Oh, I also get quicker results if I try contacting them at 8:00 a.m.

I had to go into chat mode with them on ebay because the business owner iD is different than the account manger iD, its rather screwy, but i think it is sorted out now, however they have to allow 24 to 48 hours now, so just waiting around now.

@conspecmaterials I'm glad you're getting some results. Limbo is awful. I know the reps can be less than helpful sometimes, but I do call or chat if I have the time. Some have resolved my issue right away. Others, you can tell they're inexperienced. I usually tell them I have another call and will have to call back. I usually do get someone more helpful if I call back later. Have a great weekend!

I went into chat today because I had the red banner for 3 days and the "help" I got on day 2 didn't help. Today's rep knew EXACTLY what was wrong and had me fix it, which IMMEDIATELY turned off the red banner. I was shocked! So don't let the red banner stay red too long and be led to believe that something good is happening behind the scenes.
