Yes, almost identical, but with a possible small twist.
My first update of needed info for verification was maybe a year ago, and after great turmoil was made to work.
On the 1st of Nov I received the red banner stating I needed to update my account info. The system asked for the driver's license images to be updated (even though NOTHING has changed in the last year).
ON 2 Nov I called eBay support and with the help of a rep I uploaded the required images. He indicated that all was now well and to wait a few days for the red banner to go away.
On 4 Nov the red banner remained, so I used the chat help feature in which the new rep spotted the remaining problem. My eBay account (not bank account) had my middle initial not in the "middle initial" field on the screen, but following my first name in the "first Name" field. The rep had me simply delete (not move) the middle initial and submit the change along with the driver's license images which were once again in need of submission, in spite of having just been provided two days earlier.
I have my three full names on my drivers license like we probably all do.
The funds on hold seems to be an entirely different transaction, as mine were never held (during the 3 days) though the eBay message said they were.
