I use an ad blocker on my browsers so I didn't notice this issue but I recently watched a youtube video from another eBay seller and they pointed out advertisements for other sellers showing on our product pages, in the middle of the page. I disabled my ad blocker to see for myself and I am livid.
How is this okay? My product pages should consist of the photos and information for MY products, not the products of my competitors. I have to scroll past an entire row of 12 suggested products to see the Item Specifics on MY product pages! This is a load of 💩 and I don't see why we're paying for stores if eBay is going to advertise other products on the pages intended to display our products. Just because another seller is gullible enough to give eBay even more of their money through promoted listings doesn't mean those items should be advertised on MY item pages.
eBay should be paying me for ads they're putting in the middle of MY product pages. I'm not paying eBay to muck up my product pages with other people's 💩!

This is ancient news. Not sure what ad blockers have to do w/anything, I DO use an ad blocker & have always seen these. Nothing new here at all.
Also @fatgrandmafinds you did not page Devon, you need an at sign, at the beggining.

@simply-the-best-for-you I wasn't aware this is old news as I've only been back on eBay for a little over a year now (last time I sold here was in 2004) and have been using my ad blocker since long before that. This issue was pointed out by a reseller on youtube and that's how I found out about it so I came here with my concerns. I was under the impression this was a place where members of the eBay community could discuss things...old or new but it seems I was mistaken. And I guess all ad blockers aren't created equally because mine when it's enabled, stops all the ads from showing on eBay...I only see them if it's disabled.
And oh well on not paging Devon.

You're certainly free to discuss it, was just letting you know that it's been this way for years now. As for paging Devon, I was just letting you know how to do it.

1% doesn't give you anything when they suggest 12-13% promotions. I've tried using promotions and I don't see any additional sales . It's bad enough I'm paying for an eBay store, 12.5% final fees, etc. Enough is enough!

Soon, your product page will be in the middle of the ads.😃

they already are since they include ad row above your photo, on the side of the price, a row or 2 after photo then item specs, description, followed by a bunch of more ad rows and then a big block of ads.... later they will expand the scrolling rows to include 50+ pages just to be more like amazon and fuel more seller complaints, they love that.

In the near future, from doing a search, it'll go to a page full of SL's.
You'll have to scroll all the way down to find a link to the item you searched for, then scroll through those PL's again to look at the item you searched for.

But just think, you helped a customer for to find a similar item cheaper and for Ebay to make more $ fees for the promo listing 🙂 You are helping out others, thank you for your service.........

Yeah because people are getting tired of it, and some, like the OP, use an adblocker and didn't know it was going on.
This kind of comstant ads,in your face is driving buyers off the site due to fatigue. Its call "choice paralysis" and it has a negative impact here. Ebay had better figure it out. Its why they can't keep buyers and their numbers are dropping.

I hate that eBay uses my auction page to hawk other sellers items.
I have a sort of work around for this.
After making the auction live, I screenshot the page and then crop the image leaving only the description section. It is now a jpg. file and I include it in my pictures so when an interested shopper looks at the pics they see the full description WITHOUT scrolling down past all the other items being advertised on my page.

Just do your research to make sure your are at least 25% cheaper than the lowest priced other sellers and this will not be an issue. There would be no reason for the buyer to buy another sellers item.

So disgusted with eBay showing other items the same as mine on my posting. This is not right, come on eBay be fair and stop this practice. It’s rude and not fair to us sellers who have been with you for 20 plus years.

I agree 100%…Seems greedy and unethical and promotes price drives to the bottom…like Amazon
