When selling company annual reports, can they be mailed as media mail, or do they have to go first class? Thanks.

Here's the quick-reference table from the USPS on what qualifies for Media Mail:

In my own skimming of it just now, I couldn't see a category that was a good match for a company annual report, but I would generally say that if these are vintage collectible ephemera such as what I'm seeing in your listings, I would pack them carefully and send them as First Class Package.
Anyone wanting to buy those is not going to start shrieking poverty over the price difference between Media Mail and FCP, plus you avoid the risk of having them opened for inspection, along with shipping delays possible with Media Mail, which travels on a space-available basis with up to three days allowed at each waypoint before it must go out on the next truck.

They cannot ship Media Mail.

I’m voting media Mail is okay.

And as much as I respect your experience and your opinions, I'm still confident that it is not. I guess OP should just contact the Post Office to be sure.

I'd say media mail is fine - as long as it is 8 or more pages long and there are no advertisements. It's just informational printed matter.

Technically, those annual reports are books. Maybe more creative than most 😉

Someone remind me why it is that people using media mail are subsidised by all other USPS customers.

Why would you sell another companies report.

Very helpful. You make good points. Thanks. Doug

As long as it is considered "wholly reading matter", it should qualify.
Depends on what all the annual report consists of. If it has pages that include strictly financials or analysis, it likely "technically" does not.
Asking your post master is good option.

Oh, I see now. They are cooked books er, I mean, cookbooks.
But I still say not Media Mail.
