I keep getting messages with phone numbers that l should text production information which is already listed on ebay. then one sent a text that i should provide my paypal information which i did not. i sent a text back stating that they should through ebay to pay for the item. Is anyone experiencing this as well?

No. It is happening to you because you are a new seller.
Scammers assume sellers with zero feedback will not know how it works and be so excited to sell they will do this AND usually send a gift card too.
Do not respond at all to any message asking to go outside eBay messages.

Very common scam. Glad you didn't get sucked in. So many others do.

NEVER respond to these types of messages, delete them and add the individual to your BBL. This used to happen to me long ago when I was a new seller, seldom happens these days.

Your instincts are good! These are people who want to cheat you. Never communicate outside the eBay system. Do not reply to these text messages at all. Just delete them.
Happy Sales!

If I were you, I would end the auctions with a sale price above $30, & remove the "Make Offer" from the remaining listings. Then, revise the remaining listings & check the box for "Immediate Payment Required". This will eliminate most of the crooks that are contacting you.
Once you've sold 50 or so items & get a feel for how eBay works, & doesn't work, then you can lst your more expensive items with less of a chance of losing them to the crooks.

@accessoriesbyaraba Those are lead ins to SCAMS, do not text anyone. That will give them your phone number which is considered personal information. Add those people to your Blocked list (link below to the Buyer requirements page, the block list is on that). Don't even reply to their messages when they make those requests, just block them.
You may want to consider getting a new cell phone number. You may want to consider changing your eBay and PayPal passwords.
