Combined shipping for multiple listings

A buyer wants to purchase 3 of my items  listed separately,  and combine shipping.  How do I most easily do that and not short change myself?

I have this happen a lot and you can combine everything into one listing and refigure the shipping then have them buy the special lot and I used to do that some but not anymore, to much trouble and they may never actually buy it.

What I do now is tell them buy the items and I will refund the extra shipping charges over what it actually costs.

Re: Combined shipping for multiple listings

If you are configured right (not immediate payment or other)...the buyer can "Add to Cart" and submit a request to you for a combined invoice where you can calculate the shipping and create an invoice...

If that does not work, the prescribed method already mentioned @bashort  is the best way to go....create a "special" listing just for that customer...send them the NEW item number and they can buy it through that new listing with the 3 items....

Re: Combined shipping for multiple listings

@911.rier.zwior7ysw I have always done the same thing in this situation: create a new listing with all items together. This way you know exactly how much shipping will be. Send the new listing number to the buyer, they purchase, and you ship. Buyer leaves you great feedback because you went a few extra steps to accommodate them. Win- win for all.

Every time I have done this the buyer ALWAYS comes through. A few times I have had the buyer come back a second time to purchase from me. People are looking for sellers who can help them out. Best of luck to you....

Re: Combined shipping for multiple listings

Custom listings work and I do go that route some of the time. The easiest way for both buyers and sellers is for the buyer to add all items to the cart and make a single purchase, the seller can then refund the amount of the shipping discount. I probably go this route most often especially since eBay started to refund fees on partial refunds since the Spring of 2022.

Unfortunately the Request Total option is not available on the App and is only randomly available using the desktop version of eBay.

Re: Combined shipping for multiple listings

I do the exact same thing. I just tell them to go ahead and buy what they want and I will refund the difference in shipping after their order has been processed. A very simple solution.

Hi, so how exactly do you refund the difference in shipping? Do you directly refund the amount from Paypal or is there an option within the ebay site to refund the the difference? Thank you

@lamber9347

That's what I do, too.

The last buyer seemed expressed gratitude in messages but didn't leave FB, which annoyed me.

But I like doing it that way because it's cleaner.
