Close our Seller Account: Ebay Waste of Time

I tried coming back to Ebay but now im back to $500 selling limits. Have over 1000 SKUs to sell and promote. Would like to close this account asap but Ebay is giving me a run around about restrictions i dont even know we had. Im good now.

Walmart Marketplace is my new home with No Selling Limits at all. I can sell as much as i like without having to call support asking for a stupid increase like Ebay.

Close my account and Bye for Good. Dont need you or your business

Competition is a wonderful thing. While I still sell on eBay in now constitutes less than 20% of my sales by volume compared to almost 90% a few years ago. Part of my diversification was driven by eBays constantly expanding list of restricted and prohibited items and the VERO program.

You could just end your listings.

Wouldn't that accomplish the same thing?

Walmart marketplace allows brand new sellers on their platform with zero restrictions? Huh. I'll stay far away.

Like to know how you're going to ship a tire for $1?

If you don't want to sell anymore, just end your listings.

Have a great day.

Closing a Selling account that has had even one recent transaction cannot be closed for at least 60 days following the last sale.

There is nothing stopping you from simply ending your active listings and never coming back to eBay. In that case should you ever want to buy something on eBay you would not need to re-register.

FYI - The rules and policies for sellers on Walmart are very similar to eBay and in some cases more stringent.

Looking at your Feedback profile I would guess that eBay would be quite happy if you closed your account before they close it for you!

I think that another site would be a good thing for you, eBay and potential buyers.

It appears that you have an overwhelming amount of issues with selling on eBay.    It obviously does not work for you.

It is not for everyone.

Coming into a public forum and asking us to close your account won't accomplish anything.

eBay isn't here and no one in this forum has the ability to close your account. That is something you need to do your self.
But before you close your account you need to end all of your listings. If you've had transactions within 30 days it will take at least 60 days for your account to close to ensure all your transactions complete without returns or chargebacks. Link to close your account is below.

Walmart is much better and the Referral fees are much lower. Ebay is done. No wonder they let go 1000 employees

Ebay doesnt want to close the account. I dont need to buy or sell on ebay anymore. Even Facebook Marketplace is way better and cheaper than ebay

Then delete your 6 listings and be done with it before you lose any more money.

Shipping a tire for $1 won't net you much of a profit...

Ebay doesnt want to close the account.

In the eBay user agreement, you agreed that you are still responsible for returns and disputes for items you have already sold until the window for returns and disputes has passed. eBay does not allow sellers to simply abandon responsibility for their obligations by closing their account.

As others have said - to stop selling, you can simply stop listing items here. But you have not even done that yet.

Ebay is done.

Disgruntled people have come here to claim that eBay is "done" every week for the past 20 years. The fact that there are 1.5 billion items here and that eBay moved $18 billion in GMV last quarter indicates otherwise.

Hi @redhotdist

Don’t burn all your bridges quite yet.  Even if you are correct about Walmart currently offering you more opportunities than eBay … that doesn’t mean that Walmart won’t change in the future (just like eBay keeps doing).

There’s no reason to close your eBay account.  Just pull your listings and leave your account be for now.  Having an account with feedback will help you as a buyer … as well as a seller should you decide to list items again.  [eBay still offers access to more buyers than Walmart.]

Good luck to you!  ðŸ˜Š
