Has anyone seen this new layout for listings? I have a button on my last listing called 'click button to view entire description'.
There is a completely blank screen unless one clicks that button. There is NO description of the item for sale until you click this button and then the description opens in a separate window.
What is this all about - an I in a test group?

Ebay so STINKS NOW. Everything about it. Guess it doesnt matter about the hidden description, because our listings are hidden too . No fun what so ever anymore.

and now I will lose my badge that I worked so hard on getting. People are not reading my descriptions anymore and I'm trying to figure out if it is worth my time to put all my work HTML into my listing anymore if no one is looking. we all need to tell Ebay were to put this feature I did several times.
I had a feeling it was... just yet another clunky click and step to waste the buyer's time. Amazon makes the buying process easier all the time, while eBay complicates it.

@familysfirst Curious, who is "they" ? eBay CS? If so was it a U.S. based rep, or abroad. I've not heard of anyone actually stating that before you.
EDIT: Dang Gorge....you beat me to it....

Spring approacheth and the eBay winged monkeys of change are in the air.

I'm on a desktop and this test of ebay's "The New Coke" is very much in view and is very much damaging my sales....

re: This new "SEE FULL DESCRIPTION" link:
eBay's system automatically inserts a LOT of text/details about books we are listing, burying our own description, and NOW the actual item description that WE include gets shoved into some background window that Buyers need to click on to view??
This is absurd!
Please eBay, remove this new extra step that buyers will not understand how to use. We don't need additional confusion that makes buyers unhappy when they buy something for which they failed to read the description!

If this new "VIEW DESCRIPTION" link is being done to accommodate people who are using "phones" or other devices instead of computers, then eBay needs to back off on how much REAL ESTATE they are hogging on our auction ads. THAT's what is taking up all the screen space, whether it's a phone or a desktop computer or netbook--all their ADS and PHOTOS that they insert on OUR pages!
eBay is being too heavy-handed in messing around with our auction ads, in my opinion (and the opinions of many others, apparently, judging from some of the threads in Community).
Please eBay, ditch this brainstorm about a clickable link to view the description!

Not for me...I don't want to be a beta test rat.

I agree it's for mobile, but people that click on the item are already looking for information....don't you think? Why make them jump through hoops for more.

I'm getting this on Firefox, is anybody aware of a greasemonkey script to keep it as it was without the button or a firefox extension?
The extra click is very annoying, it slows down my browsing and I find the compact view like looking thru a peephole in a door very bubble/claustophobic like.

Many folks have posted that they deleted their cache and ebay cookies and were out of the test after re-booting.
