Clarification from weekly chat please

In post #69 tyler@ebay agrees with the question asked that an automatically relisted GTC listing won't show up as newly listed.

So which one is it?

What about when it relists?Your response indicates not:
"listings will show up as normal when NEWLY listed (ie. when first listed to the site)"
This indicates when it auto relists it won't from your wording

Hi @moms**art**window** - when a Good Til Cancelled item renews it is not considered a newly listed item, so it would not receive a boost in search. It will continue to receive 'ending soonest' boosts as it approaches its renewal date, and watchers will still see the countdown of the days remaining in its current cycle. Thanks!

They why are all BIN's being forced into GTC if they lose visibility. Sounds like you want the listings to go stale? It doesn't make one bit of sense to me....then again, I confuse easily.  😜

Re: Clarification from weekly chat please

It is true, and you are absolutely right: it is the most used search BECAUSE it is the default search. Most people most of the time take the path of least resistance in most situations, and the default search on ANY site is just that. If ebay made Newly Listed the default search tomorrow, it would quickly become the most used search.
