Christmas advertising

So another Facebook ad for eBay today.

This one promoting refurbished small appliances as suitable gifts.

Specifically  a KitchenAid standmixer.

Aspirational advertising.

I noticed that one background shot included a  red Smeg refrigerator.

It included a URL  eBay.ca/holiday.

(That's the Canada site.Has anyone in the States spotted it?)

Re: Christmas advertising

Nope.
I go to Facebook once every several days just to check for posts from my family.
10 minutes and I'm gone.
And I'm "old".
Younger generations don't use it at all.
And while Facebook user numbers look "amazing",

Facebook will count multiple views from the same person as long as each view meets the standard 3 second threshold.
Sounds like the same fuzzy math eBay uses to count "active users, doesn't it?
Facebook is less strict than YouTube in verifying views.
In the year ending in 2022, Facebook lost 10 BILLION dollars in advertising revenue.
If your target audience is retirees, by all means, advertise on Facebook.
But how about buying a couple of freaking TV ads!!

eBay defines active users as:

"Active Buyers consist of all buyers who paid for a transaction on our platforms within the previous 12-month period. Buyers may register more than once, and as a result, may have more than one account."

eBay does not count multiple purchases by the same account as multiple users. So I guess I fail to see the similarity.

I can't figure out how to link to the FaceBook adverts I've been getting.

Where exactly are you seeing ads? What TV station?? Which website?
