A customer wrote me last night because she wanted to buy something from one of my Set Price listings and couldn't see a purchase button. Sure enough, it's not there and I'm in the process of going through hundreds of listings looking for more. I've found 3 so far. I called ebay and they can find nothing wrong with my account status, and are asking for 72 hours to look into the problem. I asked if there would be any compensation for lost sales and she assured me there would be (we'll see).
So far I can see no similarities between the 3 I've found, other than they all had a sale sometime in September - which isn't exactly a glaring pattern because plenty of other listings did also. But it does mean their buttons haven't been missing for more than a month. I suppose if there is some sort of pattern they could have all been revised by me on the same day or something, but I'd really have no way of testing that theory at this point. It is not an issue of being out of stock. These are listings with inventory available. The listing my customer wrote me about came up just fine in search.
Anyway, just a heads up, you may want to look at your own listings. If you do catch any, maybe report back here so we can see if this problem is more widespread than just me, and let us know what ebay is telling you about it as well.
