Re: Charges edit vs revise listing

Good afternoon @grandmas1142, there is no charge for editing your listing. You can do it either way just make sure there are no open bids on your listing. You can still edit a listing even if a bid has been placed, but it will only allow you to add and not delete info, plus it will show the date that you made any changes to all buyers. Best of luck to you....

Re: Charges edit vs revise listing

Edit a listing and revise a listing means the same thing. There is no charge as long as you haven't added an option that is an upcharge such as adding a subtitle.

Good afternoon!

The edit a listing in the seller hub or revising the listing is the same. Basically, you want to revise something in the listing. Typically, there aren't any charges for simply editing the listing. However, if you add a subtitle, add a second category, add some other enhancement feature, then you will be charged for the modification. The extra listing charges would depend on what listing modification was done in your listing.

Here is more information about the typical optional listing charges:

I hope that helps you!

Stay safe & good luck!

Re: Charges edit vs revise listing

My selling ID literally just did this within the last half hour.  I have an active listing that wasn't getting even the views that I would have expected, and I decided to add a category, knowing a fee would apply to have it listed in two categories.   The additional fee showed up on the screen:  thirty-five cents -- well worth it to me, if it means the item will sell.

In the process, I realized the original category that I chose probably wasn't the best one, so I changed it also.

So -- my experience means 35 cents for having the item listed in a second category, and no charge for revising the original category.    Other changes might cost more.

Is there a charge if you change the price?

No, there isn't a charge to change the price higher or lower, adjust the shipping higher or lower in the listing.

Good luck!

Re: Charges edit vs revise listing

If EBay charged for revising listings they would be even more mega rich than they are. I once saw a listing with 67 revisions. Yes, I had to count them, and no, it wasn’t a newbie. And if you read her listings you would understand. A total ditz.
