I just received this message from Ebay:
"eBay announced in the Spring Seller Update that 14-day returns will not be an option as of this month.
After May 15th, this return option will no longer be available when you revise or create new listings. If you currently accept 14-day returns, you need to change your return policy to one these 5 return options:
• Final Sale (No returns accepted) • 30-day buyer-paid returns • 30-day free returns • 60-day buyer-paid returns • 60-day free returns
You can change your return policy by clicking "return options" when you revise or create a listing."
I understand that we will be forced to change our policies, no real options for us sellers there. But my question is how? I am not seeing a streamlined way under account preferences, and I have over 286 buy it now's with the 14-day return option selected. Do I have to manually go through and change all of these, or will they be able to stay 14-day since they were already posted? Also, will I now have to go through and manually change it for each older item before relisting? I swear, Ebay never explains things well enough.

I'm not going to worry about it. Will see what happens to my listings on the 15th. Leaving them as is with the 14 day return policy.

thanks for the reminder. Just went in and set everything to no returns.
Just not willing to put a 30 day return on a Christmas item in December, a pool toy in July, or a prom dress in May........

If you are using business policies you can change it there. If you are not using business policies than you use bulk edit to change them.
There was a thread on Friday about this and Trinton explained how the timeline will work. I'll copy and paste his comments here:

The cost benefit of achieving Top Rated has seriously gone out the window in the last year (6 months? Was it fall?). I will say it has decreased my stress level now that I don't care about it.
The returns policy is rediculous. I'm thinking eventually we'll be required to do free shipping, not just free returns because buyers now "expect it". I can't offer free returns and I certainly can't offer 30 day returns at Christmas. I'm not big enough nor have enough quantity of the same item to make something unavailable to the rest of the world and then have it returned for free. Maybe I should just sell phone chargers for $.99 and free shipping instead (how do they make any money?)
I wish they would just encourage things rather than forcing upon us. If people decide not to buy from us for a return policy then that's their choice, and then we as sellers will evaluate which is the better option for ourselves. Just make this a requirement for top rated plus and not the masses.
I wish there was a place to sell things without all the restrictions that people actually went to in order to buy things. And withoug being Craigslist / LetGo flakes. So I guess this post is just a venting.

The unfortunate thing is that I say the same thing as a buyer.

Good grief, even eBay can't get it right, to further clarify and CORRECT this message:
@Anonymous could you please fix the original post with the correct information? We've been fighting a losing battle with people thinking they lose TRS instead of their listings not qualifying for TRS+

Hi @dtexley3, thank you for touching base on this. While I'm not sure how my original phrasing would have lead anyone to believe that they would be loosing Top Rated Status, I have made the adjustment you requested to avoid any confusion.

You are incorrect ! A national buyers poll was done with 15 question's of things buyers are looking for from online sites and dealers . Free Return shipping was at the bottom of list No.15 and Free shipping didn't make it too the top 5 on the list .

EBAY already told you what you need to do. They dont care if you have a dozen listings, a handful, several hundred or several thousand. You the seller (who pay for this service each month) have to do all the work because ebay decided to make this change. So what if it takes up your valuable time? They dont care. They are only in it for themselves. Deal with it indeed.

As of yesterday in UK version, no matter what return options I choose, I cannot publish an ad...
How do I resolve this?
