Category selection with listing tool is beyond tedious

The new listing tool makes changing categories trips and frustrating! Anyone that you want to change.... It forces you to start from the beginning and run through 5-7 subcstegories just to change the final one!!  When listing slightly different items that share all the other categories, except the final one, this tool takes 10x longer to use.

Look at the classic.... Easy and informative-you can actually browse categories to see which one is the most accurate and make the change without going back to the first stage!

 we want information eBay! Not having everything compartmentalized and hidden from view.

information is productive

 unified listing tool is none of the above because it's a mobile phone app instead of a desktop tool like the classic tool 

WE NEED A TOOL THAT IS DESIGNED TO WORK ON A DESKTOP

Here is new tool pic.... A pop-up box with zero information and starting from scratch even though so I wanted to do is shift the final subcategory to the very next option. 

 this tool is just soooo frustrating to use on a daily basis..... I can understand that a new sheet would not know the difference but who is eBay trying to please? The occasional new sellers that list 4x a year or the sellers that keep buyers here but listing great unique products every day

I sell mainly in the wrist watch category.

my one and only  template is set up for that

if I mention pocket watch in the title then it selects that for the top choice when I go to change it

if in doubt I use the search bar at the top to find the correct or better category

I think the new tool is much more intuitive than the old one

I have three item specifics that are required and they get pre filled when I change the category

I have noticed they dont stick unless you click on them and get the check mark next to them that makes it sticky

I like the new tool and am relieved that its easy for me to use

@1tuna   I'm glad that it is working for you. That makes sense though because you only sell in one category.   I sell across 80 or more categories so the inconvenience of starting over for every listing is just tedious.

I understand that the ebay seller base is very wide and what works well for one seller is a disaster for another..... and visa versa.    Its just discouraging to have to put in more physical work and time now to list less items.   That is why options are a good thing when you serve a worldwide community of sellers. So we can all be productive together

I sell in numerous categories too and it is more difficult for me for sure.  I also wish the store category wouldn't always remain sticky.  Since it is off to the right, my eyes aren't trained yet to look for that in order to change it when necessary.  It used to be along the right side of the form where my eyes fall to make my listing changes.
