How do I enable cash on pickup as a payment option?
I'm selling a computer and would prefer to have cash in hand to prevent any conflict over such an expensive item.
My item is already listed as local pickup, but the only payment option available was the default one that shows the credit cards, paypal and google pay. The option to de-select online payment was greyed out when I created the listing.

You can mention in your listing that the buyer can contact you for your payment preference, you just cannot say cash only in your listing. Ive done that several times and it worked well for me. Tho I was paid a couple of times by PP, there were no problems. If you cancel a PP payment, you will receive a defect to your account.

You also gets a QR code which is used on payment to give eBay confirmation of payment.

The buyer will be given the QR code when he receives the confirmation email from Ebay, and the seller scans that on pick up.

Thank you.
I just wanted to see if everything was above board. I'm just going to message the Buyer(s) who have made offers and coordinate a pickup date and time and confirm that they are comfortable with cash payment upon pickup.

"Or if everything goes smoothly, but Buyer's Remorse sets in after they pick up the item, the Buyer is free to open a claim. However, the item will already be in their posession at that point to tamper with."
From what a mod told me, snad complaints with local pick up are very rare, since the buyer checks out the item in person. and are decided on a case by case basis. If you are unable to arrange a pick up with the buyer, you can cancel the transaction using the problem with buyers address option, and you wont receive a defect.
