I have 2 defects for cancelling : one from March 2, 2021 and another March 9, 2021. When are they going to disappear? What is the rule?

I think there's a 12-month lookback period... so they should disappear following your 3/20/22 evaluation.

Be careful to not get any more. Too many of these is devastating to your eBay account. Results in higher fees and lost ability to sell. Good luck.

1 year unless you do 400 transactions in 3 months. Then 3 months.
Something to watch but not much to worry about yet.
If you go over 1% and 10 defects you will be considered "Very High" in defects and will be assessed a additional 5% final value fee in the category that you are very high in.
Your seller performance record is not affected.

you are confusing service metrics from defect. I am not talking about service metrics.

Way I understand it, canceling an order results in a transaction defect. So like others have told you, 1 year.
Now what I copied below may not cover your situation. If not, try doing some reading on your own since you don't seem to want to hear what the others have tried to tell you.

You better make sure you don't receive any more. You have one foot in the grave already. That is the most serious violation there is on eBay. A life time ban on selling is next.

Are you trying to get suspended? Two major defects in one week? They take a year to roll off. It’s always been my understanding that more than two is enough to put you on a temporary suspension and if you rack up more after that the suspension becomes permanent. EBay Does not like sellers who disappoint buyers. Not like is a major understatement. You are seriously courting disaster for your account.

@cnmy1178 Here is the link to seller performance where it discusses defects.
One of the key seller performance measures is your transaction defect rate. A defect is added to your account if:
1) You cancel a buyer's purchase because you no longer have the item in stock or you chose not to send it.

They will fall off next month.
The evaluation period for this month, Mar 2022 runs from 1 Mar 2021 to 28 Feb 2022.

@lamber9347
I posted dates of my defects and asked when those cases will drop off since it is 12 months already. I seem not to find the answer in your response. But thanks for contributing.

As others mentioned be careful. Depending on the reason you canceled you are potentially putting yourself at risk. There was a seller posting yesterday about a suspension and the seller had canceled a significant number of orders and eBay suspended her account permanently.

@bearswatching „Are you trying to get suspended? Two major defects in one week? „
Sometimes Ebay loves me 😃 One was because item someone bought got broken in storage and another was because I couldn’t find item (I thought that Ebay relisted it automatically and Ilisted it -so item was listed twice)

It's not just 12 months to the day. You have to wait until the following update to your account in order for them to fall off.

@mtgraves7984 You were right they were just removed. So it seems they evaluate those on the 20th of each month.
