I listed a Libre Freestyle 2 Glucose monitor, new in the box. Insurance company sent wrong one. There were several open listings at that time, lots of closed too. Ebay cancelled my item, yet leaves 3 open listings and 7 closed ones.

If it is a prohibited item, just because others are selling it does not mean it is okay for you to do so too.
If ebay cancelled it DO NOT attempt to relist it or your account could be heavily sanctioned.
I would see about the possibility of donating that through the proper channels or disposing of it.

eBay's policy enforcement has never been comprehensive, accurate, or timely.
IMHO trying to play the "discrimination" card over eBay's imperfect policy enforcement is an insult to everyone who has ever experienced real discrimination.

Joey, yes don't relist this item as poster @jonathankirkland suggested.
Did you call the medical co. you receive it from? ( Liberty possibly)
I never realized how much waste and unwanted medical supplies these mail order med companies send to patients until I became a Home Health care Nurse.
These monitors can be purchased OTC but a lot of people have their doctor write a script for them so insurance will pick up the cost.
You may donate your unopened monitor to Veterans centers, Senior centers and nursing homes, local colleges where they train aides. Best to you.

Thanks for your reply, nice to have someone knowledgeable in this area provide some solid advice.

Yep if eBay removes your item DO NOT attempt to relist because that is a very good way to get yourself suspended
Sorry. eBay can prohibit any item they like because it is their "playpen" and they make the rules here

Just accept that you will never understand or figure out what E-Bay does. You just have to live with it. I sold a troll doll listed in the toys category, and then E-Bay canceled the transaction on the basis it was a prohibited item that violates the firearm policy.
Now how exactly does a troll doll violate the firearm policy? I called E-Bay, and the CSR couldn't explain it, but told me not to relist the item or I could be suspended from selling.
Okay...

I'm going to be "that guy", sorry. In my observations, there is a definite bias in this area towards established, e.g. "money making for ebay" sellers. Sellers with an established sales history or massive feedback numbers tend to be given a bit more leeway in this regard.
I normally don't prescribe to the "they did it, why can't I threads" or the "mine was shut down so why wasn't theirs". In this case, I'm siding with the OP.
If my ad gets shut down and I report other people for selling the same thing, you **bleep** well better shut theirs down too.
