Can't set the duration on a Buy-It-Now listing

I've sold a few items on ebay so far.  Suddenly, I'm no longer able to set a duration for the listing when I create a Fixed-Price (Buy It Now) listing. Nowhere does it give the option to do a ten-day listing; it makes it 29-day without asking me.  I try to choose "Auction," enter ten-day, then switch to Fixed Price, but it doesn't work. eBay makes them be 29-day auctions, and I hate that. Thanks to any help folks can provide.

We tried to tell eBay that this was going to be a problem, but did they listen?  No.

At least you get credit for noticing the duration.  I'm just waiting for the people who come back from vacation and say, "How did this get listed?" or "I got defects for not shipping on time, when I didn't even know it listed and sold.", or "I got charged for a bunch of listings I didn't add." or "My item sold on etsy and eBay."

THis really sucks! I have the same problem! I'm trying to list things for only Buy it Now.. and I don't want Best Offers, and I can't set the Duration anymore? This is complete **bleep**... So what's the solution? I don't see any advanced option here...

The advanced setting works. I just did a fixed price for 7 days. Thanks.

I don't know if I'm stupid, or just blind, but I tried to follow the advice about 'save & exit' and then 'advanced'; but I have neither of these options.

When I go to revise my item (because I Just found out about this problem), there is no "save & exit" option.  There is a 'revise' or 'preview' option only.  Clicking on the 'revise' option brings to to another page, and there is a button that says 'advanced' (not advanced form); and this button only brings of the advanced search option.

So, I ask again:  Am I stupid, or just blind?  Or is this option not available anymore?

Yes when you list it for 30 days the countdown starts and it says 29 days and 23 hours left 🙄

"Save and exit" is just for listings that are still in draft form, not for active listings.

If a listing is already active and has the 'Good until canceled" duration, there's no way to change that except to end it and relist.
